The ball was barely out. A fan went to catch it and they were debating whether the fan interfered or not. They went to replay and found that the fan did not interfere and called it a homerun.

Definitely a fun series to watch this weekend though. Props to the Sox...and kudos to the Yanks choking all 3 games. :D

FINALLY, the pitching and hitting comes together. Very promising for Hughes (and Melancon has started nicely, too). A 7-8-9 of Melancon, Bruney and Rivera could potentially shorten games like in the late 90s.

I have Porcello on my fantasy team, and I just had a feeling, so he's benched today. Hopefully, Joba can come through. The Tigers haven't been hitting at all lately, being killed by the Royals, and now have 4 runs in two games against the Yanks.

Looks like my feeling was correct. Nice game by Joba, but we need him in the pen to protect 7 run leads! ;)

Hopefully Wang can come back and be as good as he was last year. If not, we need to bring Ian Kennedy up and hope he can mimic Hughes. With that said, hopefully Hughes can keep it up (I know it was only 1 game).

Joba pitched great last night, but it's clear we need him in the pen more than as a starter.

Let's wait until Bruney is healthy to make any judgements. He was cruising as the 8th inning guy before he got hurt.

I like the way Hughes has looked this year than at any time last year

                        His fastball has some pop

His curve isn't just coming in there like a lolipop begging to be hit

We just need to hope Bruney isn't going to be out too long

                            That is a broom

Our pitching is sucking right now even though Joba had 12 strike outs.

Can't wait till arod comes back, he'll make everybody in the lineup better.

Maybe we can score more runs

Not much to say really lol..

imo it was a bush move when Beckett got behind 0-2 to Pena then wanted the mound to be fixed. Are you telling me it wasn't effecting him 2 pitches before that? At least finish out the at-bat then have someone come out.

what i hate is how the yankees and redsox play each other so many times over the year. Baseball has really blown up the rivarly, its gay.
