Yes, he did. I read that now he wants to stay in Seattle and is hoping for a new contract. He doesn't want to wait til the offseason either. I really hope that Wash is the real deal but I also think there is about a 90% chance he gets traded.

I wouldn't give him a penny over 5 mil a year though. No way he gets anything better than a 4th SP salary.

Why would the Indians give up Victor Martinez (and Lee) for Morrow and Clement? This would be a horrible trade for them IMO.

I could care less if Clement or Balentien leave. Morrow is the only one of those guys I haven't given up on. If we could get a Freddy Sanchez/Jack Wilson and an OF like Luke Scott, I think we have a decent shot a competing with the Angels. As soon as they stop their 40 game winning streak.

I saw that the M's are not willing to deal Bedard. I want to know why. The guy must not have any value because he can't go more than 4 innings and he always walks 3-5 guys in a 3-4 inning stretch. He must be hurt. Hopefully we can get some decent high level prospects that can contribute next year right from the get go.

Im hearing Carlos Villanueva. Sad would have liked jj hardy or alcides escobar but it sounds like brewers want alot for hardy and wont part w/escobar.

Carlos Villanueva isn't worth much at this point. I've been waiting all day for the trade to go down. I'm ready to part with Hardy.

So I am back for lunch and I see the M's got SS Jack Wilson and SP Ian Snell for Clement and a few prospects. Looks like a decent deal. Watch, Clement will turn into Mike Piazza next season.
