Another one we let get away. I'm already sick of these tough losses and it's only April.

Tailback, like I told you in the chatbox I watched the majority of the game on GameCast (found a stream literally three batters before Rowand's GW RBI single), but I'll take your word for it. A lot of the games I've seen this year have had shady umps.

He was just inconsistent, especially towards the end of the game.

Great performance today to avoid the sweep. Lohse had all of his pitches clicking and Freese was dominant at the plate.

The biggest question however is: when did we talk Tino Martinez out of retirement and replace Pujols with him?

I think they heard you. :marshmellow:

Berkman with a great game and Strahan and I's boy Jon Jay with a PH homer to follow up Lance's two-run shot. And the best news of it all...ALBERT PUJOLS GETS A HIT.

As long as Boggs doesn't pull a Ryan Franklin and give up six runs in this inning, we're getting win #4 on the season.

Barring injury, the starting pitching and offense will be good enough to get this team to the playoffs. Just need to figure out the closer situation. Knowing Tony, he'll give Franklin every chance to lose his job.

Pretty much how I feel. You know Pujols isn't going to bat like this all year and the other guys are starting to hit too. (Berkman and Freese just went back-to-back as I'm typing this.) Jaime, though two games in, looks like he can settle as our #2 threat and McClellan looks fine as well.

If Franklin can shore up his problems or if we can find a closer, plus better outings from Jake Westbrook, then I'm pretty confident in this team going forward.

15 runs through 5 innings, boys. Even Albert decided to show up so far.

Berkman is straight DESTROYING the ball right now.

And meanwhile Ludwick has hit under .200 since being traded to the Padres. I said it when the deal was made, Ludwick is ridiculously overrated (at least in St. Louis he was).

66 runs in the last 7 games. Insane.

McClellan has been spot on so far this season, I love it. Let's get that sweep today!

McClellan was fucking on last night. Kershaw not so much. I think Scully said that he had 27 foul balls and 80 total pitches after 3. Cards only had one run so I was worried, but the hot bats prevailed. Great job by the whole lineup stepping up.
