Ugly, but I'll take it. Back in first after that little slip-up.

That game should have never been in that situation. I don't know why LaRussa continues to put Franklin in the game with his confidence shot.

I still believe in Sanchez because I've seen a lot that I like out of the young kid, but consistency from the closer spot obviously would be great. Hell, if we had that this season, we would be up 5-6 games in the division already.

With Sanchez being shaky tonight and Boggs blowing it last night, I see a closer by committee coming soon, if it hasn't come already. Wouldn't mind to see Jason Motte get some opportunities; I've always been a big fan of his, plus who can deny a face like this?

I think Boggs is still the closer for now, just don't think he was available last night. I like Sanchez as well, but think that Boggs has more experience and better control, which makes him better suited for the role.

It will be interesting to see who gets bumped when Tallet returns from the DL. My guess is Salas will be sent down, but it would be nice to see Franklin sent to the DL for "shoulder fatigue".

Sanchez looked hella shaky last night, missing spots on almost every pitch, but I'll throw that up to nerves. First place!

Nick Punto the hero, ladies and gentlemen.

Carpenter still winless on the season and yet we're in first place. Wow.

Can't believe Tony put Miller in for the last out. Thankfully it worked out... barely.

FEELS GOOD TO BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF A 9TH INNING COMEBACK. Fucking punto, growing on me. Checking up on the leaders, Holliday, Freese, and Berkman all top ten in hitting with Berkman and Holliday leading the pack with a combined .819 average... What did you say lanteri?

Wow, what a terrible fucking game.

-Two errors including a terrible one by Theriot
-Franklin blows another one (Why the fuck is he pitching in both the 8th and 9th?)
-Freese breaks his hand on a HBP

Up 4-0, close out the fucking sweep.

I've decided LaRussa only pitches Franklin anymore to give the rest of the NL Central hope. We might be up 6 games on everyone without Franklin's efforts.
