No way. Meachem was like some local kid from Central Illinois who wasn't even supposed to see the court, and he ended up being one of the team's leading scorers (even though he was consistently shut out by Big10 defenders). I don't blame Meachem, because its not like he was a top recruit. There were a lot of guys on the mid-90's Illini teams that were top recruits who were pathetic. Jerry Hester was supposed to be the next Michael Jordan. Jerry Gee was a fat POS. Richard Keene was a 6'4" guard who never went inside and jacked up 3's. I have a ton of guys who I hated more than Meachem.
