    Lots o headkicks.

Zaromskis was fun to watch. Manhoef=Mark Hunt. Aoki always has the most interesting pants/shorts in MMA. Missed the first hour. Going back to the super hulk highlights wth was up with Soko ? What a retard.

I love the intros and the ridiculousness of it but I still hate all the damn stoppages/resets. Why are the japanese so against cages ?

The cage has never been apart of the sport in Japan, comes from pro wrestling and thats how they always have done it, pancrase, shooto, rings, pride, and so on

I prefer the cage, but doesn't really matter to me, some of the greatest fights have been in a ring, they both have positives and negatives, depends on who is fighting in it

The cage becomes to much of a weapon for guys to stall, push people into and takes away from the technique of fighting

The ring usually promotes more movement, less stalling, etc...but sometimes with some fights it really becomes annoying

TBH, I've always been a ring guy. UFC got me into the sport, but Pride was my real MMA love. The viewing angles, the fighters, the stories, Japanese MMA has always felt more 'right' to me

          Same here.

And rings >>>>>>>>> cages. I wish more organizations would use them.

No doubt some incredible fights have taken place in roped rings. But I think its like basketball being played on grass.

Grapping/Clinching/Takedowns are so much a part of the sport and the cage screws all portions of it.
Getting tangled in ropes, almost falling out , refs having to stop and reset , the guys outside trying to keep guys in , guys popping there head under a rope to avoid getting punched. Blech.

I think stalling , or stagnant spots etc is more ref/rule based than anything.
Personally I dont think either side has it right when it comes to rounds/scoring/rules. They are both really unique and it definitely gives Jap based productions something unique. Japanese feature alot of zoomed out and panning shots which wouldn't work with a cage. And lord help me if those intro ramps arent grade A awesome.
