Had no idea Lew Jackson was gonna come back so quick from that foot injury. If he can get back near 100% it'll be great news for Purdue.

Robert Morris 66, Long Island 58
Long Island did an excellent job in taking away leading scorer Karon Abraham, holding him to 6 points. However, when one freshman gets shut down, another steps up.
Fellow frosh Velton Jones led all scorers with 21, and at one point scored six points in a row. Rob Rob finally woke up a little bit and added 12, while shooting (insert shocked face here) 4-6 from the foul line. If you didn't know (which you didn't), Robinson has been shooting 34% from the foul line before tonight. Senior Mezie Nwigwe had another great game with 20 points.
The main negatives I could take out of this game were: we're horrible at boxing out and don't have a consistent low-scoring threat. The Blackbirds outrebounded the Colonials 38-27 and pulled down 18 offensive boards. That was the main reason why they stayed in it.
It's easy to say after following the Colonials part of last year and this year, Rob Robinson is not the same player. He's been horribly inconsistent this season, looks like he doesn't care on the court and hasn't been getting a lot of touches. He has the potential to go for 15-8 every night but it hasn't happened lately.
After him, it's ugly for the front court offensively. Freshman Russell Johnson possibly is the most talented player on the team and can light the opponent up at any time, but he's also horribly inconsistent. Dallas Green is non-existent on offense and is basically the glue guy on the team. The other two freshmen provide a spark when they come into the game, but I don't count on them to score much.
Anyways, it's nice to get revenge on LIU and it's great to still be on top of the NEC.

I'm watching alot of Pac10 tonight for the first time this year (the only team i've seen at least twice is Washington), and my god does this league stink.
USC vs. Oregon St - They are both in the 30's as I type this, with about 8 minutes left in the second half. Ugly, ugly basketball. USC has no players, but led most of the way until OSU switched to a half court trap in the 2nd half. USC HAS NO CLUE what to do...they are throwing the ball away with some of the ugliest passes you'll ever see, and when they don't turn it over, they just heave up air balls. OSU has a 7 ft white high post C who has got to be the softest big man i've ever seen.
Cal vs Arizona St -- Cal is supposed to be the class of the league, but im not very impressed. Yeah, it's a road game, and yeah, they led by double digits most of the way, but Arizona St is making a run and nobody on Cal looks like they want to take the big shot. I think when all is said and done, Washington is the best team, but has too much ground to make up to win the league.
Arzona 76, Stanford 68 -- Nic Wise is a tough little G who plays hard and is clearly Arizona's best player. The Wildcats have crept into the league race, which is telling considering this is for all intents and purposes a rebuild. Stanford is non descript as they come.Comment

As for U-Dub being the best team in the Pac-10, I don't exactly disagree but I don't really agree. At home, they're unbeatable. But on the road, they're easily beat (5 of 7 losses on the road i believe).
Washington should be the best team in the league. They have the most talent IMO. A huge edge for Cal, to me, is they have the best coach.
Washington played Seattle U last night. I know Cameron Dollar was an assistant under Bomar, but you cant schedule that game in late January. They were up something like 90-30 at one point. C'mon.Comment

Uhh, tough loss to Purdue tonight.
I didn't get to watch the last 10 minutes, but the refs were pulling some bs in the game. There were 8 fouls in the first half, but the refs completely changed the way they called the game at halftime. They called 10 fouls in the first four minutes of the second half, and they kept it up.
I shouldn't complain most of the fouls I saw went against Purdue, the Badgers were shooting really cold, maybe that changed in the final 10 minutes. I don't know.Comment

Originally posted by TimmyNankliv went nuts lol. Wisconsin definitely shot better toward then, but Moore is quite the ball player. I didn't like the clock management at all toward the end of the game. All in all, I think the Badgers are one of the best teams in the Big-10. They lost it with 1 second leftComment

I just don't get why Gonzaga wears those black jerseys. They always struggle with them.
Also, Elias Harris may very well be the best college basketball player on the West Coast. EASILY the best freshman.I give rep not thanks
