Good point. Both calls were unexplainable.

As for Ohio State, they are probably the best team in the Big10. Turner was out at the start of the year, and Ohio State struggled. With him back they are the class of the conference, IMO.

Headed to Reed Arena tonight to see the number one team in the country...Kansas @ Texas A&M.

Going again next week when Texas comes to town.

Jimmy B called the timeout right when Scoop got the ball, it isn't his fault the ref didn't acknowledge and call it until Scoop was shooting.

Whether you agree or not, one single call doesn't decide the game, just like that foul didn't because Syracuse could have played better and not have been in that situation in the first place, but that's just how it goes.

        Get Better AO!!!

        #3 Syracuse (28-4)

Saw the highlights this morning. Tim Higgins is a joke. While Wes Johnson didn't get fouled, calling an intentional on Cuse afterwards was laughable.

The ref called it when it was clearly in Robinson's hand, it doesn't matter if Jimmy B called it when Scoop had the ball.

and I never said the call decided the game but it should have been Uconn ball with the game tied and 40 something seconds left. Uconn could have milked the clock down and taken a shot while leaving 5 or so seconds left on the clock.

I don't remember saying that Syracuse lost because of Tim Higgins, I said that Higgins' call was unexplainable. I have never seen anything of the sort in basketball. I've only seen an intentional foul call when the defender grabs/tackles the dribbler on a breakaway. I didn't think it was even possible to intentionally foul someone when two players are fighting for a rebound. They are both trying to get the ball.

The emphatic nature of Higgins' "intentional foul" call, which did indeed seal the game for Louisville, makes me wonder if Higgins doesn't have something personal against Boeheim (sp?). Maybe someone could fill me in on whats really going on...

With Turner's ability to go crazy in any given game and Diebler and Buford to back him up ... this could be a very dangerous team in March
Don't forget about David Lighty's defense.

I definately think OSU can make a run this year, but I think our lack of a big man inside is going to cost us eventually.

I have heard some people talk about OSU as a "dark horse" in the tourney...they same a team with Evan Turner always has a chance....

They have more than just Turner though. Diebler is lights out from three and Buford is pretty solid all around. Lighty is a good peice to have aswell.

The Big 10 is a wash, what a terrible conference.

I don't think Illinois would be 9-4 in the WCC.

My post was directed at kmanharris, not you. But I hear you, the call was ridiculous, but one will argue the timeout we got against UConn was, so I was just stating that either way, one call doesn't decide a game. Especially when Syracuse had two looks from three which would have made it a one point game with enough time to foul and possibly get a heave from half court, but that's just speculation anyway.

Sure they do, he's probably the quiet kid at the end who tries to pipe up when the NBA topic comes up, only to be told to STFU because he obviously has no clue what he's talking about
