Kinda hard to get any worse than this year.


Of course they'll make a comeback, they're bringing in one of the top recruiting classes of the nation. That doesn't make up for the fact that the reigning national champs not only won't make the NCAA tournament, but are also on the bubble to make the NIT

UNC having a good season next year also depends on whether Ed Davis decides to go to the NBA or come back for another year. I would have thought he would definitely leave but after a bad season for him and then an injury he may decide that staying another year will be more beneficial to him than leaving early.

Quinnipiac 83, Long Island 78

Jaytornah Wisseh of LIU tried all he could to keep the Blackbirds in it with 33, but it was to no avail.

Justin Rutty, one of the more fun players to watch in the NEC and could rival Tyler Hansbrough in how hard he works, led the Bobcats with 22 points and 16 rebounds (8 offensive).

Great game that went back and forth during the last four minutes, but a James Feldeine three-pointer and a Rutty and-one gave Quinnipiac the lead for good.

No matter what happens in the 2/3 match-up tonight, the championship will be held at Quinnipiac. (Wednesday, ESPN2, 7:00 PM)

I'm assuming nobody saw the ND v. Marquette game other than ATB, but it was fucking awesome. I thought there was no way in hell ND pulled it out, but suddenly they can win on the road.

You guys deserved to win it, but I don't know if you remember the play when the ball hit the ref, that was extremely bogus.

MU was up 24-20 with a couple minutes left in the half, ND has a bad pass start to sail out of bounds, but the fat ass ref didn't get out of the way.

The ball bounces off of him, ND recovers and gets fouled on a shot. Buzz gets a technical from screaming at the fat ass ref, so it turns out to be a 4 point possession. Score is tied at the half, the whole momentum of the game is changed. =/

Robert Morris 80, Mount St. Mary's 62

A lot easier than I expected, two separate 10-0 runs sealed the Mountaineers' fate.

Karon Abraham had 19 points and went 3-6 from behind the arc, while Rob Rob added 14. We have to have those two play games like tonight in order to win Wednesday.

We're coming for that automatic bid!

Did anyone watch the Villanova-West Virginia game? WVU ended up pulling it out in OT, but there were some VERY questionable calls at the end of regulation which allowed Villanova to tie it. Even mild-mannered Jay Bilas repeatedly described the officiating as "horrible".

Whenever I've seen Villanova play a good team, they need the refs to bail them out. West Virginia had been on a losing streak as of late, but they looked superior to Villanova.

Fuck that guy. He is one of the most overrated players in the nation. West Virginia used an "Amoeba" defense at the end to completely nullify Reynolds, so all he could do was try to run into the West Virginia players. The very end of the game featured Reynolds repeatedly trying to draw a blocking foul 45 feet from the basket. WVU player standing in front of him playing zone...lower head dribble into him...no call...back up, lower head, dribble into him again...no call...back up, lower head dribble into him again...WVU steps aside, Reynolds falls down and goes out of bounds...whistle blows at end of play...blocking foul on WVU!
