We have the nation's top player Evan Turner, who can take over a game almost at will. Buford is a good player and Diebler is one of the top 3 point shooters in the nation. Lighty is a great defender, as is Lauderdale who happens to be among the top 40 in the nation in blocks.
We are 21-4 (14-2) in games that Evan Turner has played. Exactly how are we overrated?
All of the wins with Turner back have been in the Big 10, a terrible conference. Also a loss to UNC. Don't forget terrible computer numbers either.
Before this Big east tourney started, I thought they could go pretty far. Ugly win over DePaul but I think they can beat Georgetown. Would love to see Stan Heath and co. crack the NCAA Tourney or NIT. It's been a while since USF has seen some post season action.
Leuer was shitting on Tisdale and anyone else who tried guarding him until he got into foul trouble.
I think Illinois had <10 points in the paint. lol.
I can't believe they still have Illinois in the tournament.
I can't either. Honestly the only team I really like in the Big 10 is Ohio St and that's because I really like Evan Turner. Purdue without Hummel is "meh". Wisconsin is alright and probably the 2nd best team in the league but they just don't seem as good as Wisconsin teams of years past. Especially at home. Get them on a neutral floor and I think they are very average. Leuer is nice but I don't like how they match up at almost every other position with other teams. Michigan St doesn't have the mental toughness other Izzo teams have had and the rest of the conference is pathetic.
Iowa has to be one of the worst teams I have seen in my life.

I don't know what the hell happened to Penn St.
Illinois has NO inside game at all.
Wisconsin has never gone deep in March with Bo Ryan, but I'll be a Superman fan before I stop picking them for the Final Four this year. :rockwoot:

How exactly is the B10 a terrible conference? I'm not saying we are the Big East, but we are a solid conference, probably 3rd or 4th overall. You've got Michigan State, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Illinois in there.
Yeah, we lost to UNC. Pitt lost to Indiana, guess that means they are overrated too? How about that Kentucky loss to South Carolina, huh?
You are placing way too much emphasis on computer numbers. I think they should be used to determine overall seedings, but when determining the quality of a team look at the players they have and the teams they have faced.
I would agree Wisconsin is the second best team in the Big 10. We'll see what happens, assuming they play Ohio St in the tournament.
I really am pretty excited about the teams chances this year. We're a lot deeper than we had been in years past. Thanks to Leuer's injury, Wilson, Evans, and even Taylor got a lot of playing time, and they're a lot better because of it. We're very lucky Leuer was injured early on and he's healthy now, when Brian Butch went down in February a few years ago; it killed our chances in the tournament.
The guard play has been phenomenal, and Leuer has improved every game since returning. I like our chances going forward.
No replacement for Jamelle Cornley really hurt and they didn't have much of an inside game the entire season. Talor Battle can only do so much.
And it's not like all their losses have been blowouts; mostly all of them have been games where the Nittany Lions had control sometime in the second half before choking it away. Just a frustrating season.
