Ohio State's a good Sweet 16 - Elite 8 team this year. Don't have the overall depth nor the frontcourt depth to make it past that.Comment

They play a one big man style of offense, and he is only 6'8", however, their four guards are 6'5", 6'5", 6'6", & 6'7".
They have the player that can beat anyone. The stretch they had today where they went on a 23-5 run or something like that, their 20 point run against Illinois yesterday, and the 25-6 run on Michigan on Friday. If they play like that, there is no one they can't beat.
Yes they only have 6 players, however the tourney isn't that Grueling. You only have to play 2 games a weekend, and it is obvious that they have the legs to keep up all game. I'm not saying they will win, but they have the ability to beat Kansas, Kentucky, Syracuse, etc, on any given day.
We had those runs against Michigan, Illinois, and Minnesota. Not exaclty world beaters there, you are expected to beat those guys by a good margin if you are as good as we are.Last edited by Sportsbuck; 03-14-2010, 05:25 PM.Comment

Ohio State gets NO FAVORS (maybe literally if they play Oklahoma State in the second round) in their bracket on their way to a collision course with Kansas in the Elite 8.
Strong bottom half of the bracket...Georgetown, Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee...Kansas will be fine on their end, they'll be playing a battle tested team by the time the Elite 8 comes around.Comment

March Madness is <3333333333333
almost every game is exciting and i always love seeing the underdogs go far in the tourney."From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.Comment

Originally posted by Toy SoldierMadsen isn't a bad player. He ha s a nice 15 foot jump shot, and is a MASTER as setting picks for Diebs. Go back and look at all of Diebs 3's from the last 8 or so games, and maybe 50% would be off picks from Madsen. That is really high saying he only plays about 25% of the game. However, the only problem is if either Diebler or Turner get in trouble. And Diebler can get in trouble if we are winning big. Either Burford and Lighty could only play 20 Minutes and we could win. We haven't seen either Simmons or Hill much this year. But Simmons is a lot better shooter than last year, and if you remember our team played a lot better last year when Anthony Crater transfered and PJ Hill got more playing time. High energy kid.
Last year, Hill was not a good PG, and that hasn't changed. He's a high energy kid and he busts his ass, but he's quite simply not that good, and he got exposed when we played Siena in the tournament. There's a reason he barely moves off the bench when we play legit opponents.
I would argue that outside of Turner, Lighty is our most important player. I'm pretty confident in saying Lighty is one of the top defenders in the country, the man has made his living on defense for a while, hell, a big reason we made it to the title game in 2007 was because he shut down Jeff Green. Lighty can guard the 3 or the 4 and having him out there is essential to our success. His offensive game is starting to come around too.Comment
