Yes I can blame the whole league. CP was just fine until Lebron and those other guys teamed up. Now that it is a viable solution to team up and make an all star team every player wants to do it to dramatically increase their chances at a ring.

EDIT: Every player except Kevin Durant wants to team up with other superstars. Durant has been dogging those guys since Bosh and Wade announced. Once Lebron followed he has been goin in on them

Here is the thing I don't get. Why is CP3 really taking no heat for this, yet LeBron gets as much shit as he does? I realize LeBron is the better player and has more expectations, but the man honored his contract. Chris Paul demands to go to a team to make them a "superteam", is dishonoring his contract, and he gets hardly any criticism.

I have to respect the guy that honors his contract and moves to another team as so many players have done and always will do, rather than the guy that dishonors his contract to get to a contending team. This really doesn't change my opinion of Chris Paul as a player though.

People don't think Chris Paul is on the path to being one of the greatest players in NBA history.

That's cause he has already solidified himself as one of the best PG's the NBA has seen since maybe John Stockton. That is no knock on Steve Nash, but CP3 before his injury(which should be heavily looked at) was on pace with Lebron as a triple-double machine.

Going to Miami and joining superstars isn't the point though. Cleveland fans are simply pissed because he left, so why don't NO fans do the same thing? Unless of course they're waiting until he is actually traded.

I know you're upset. VSN knows you're upset. I'm talking about the general population of Hornets fans. IMO if he leaves after demanding a trade, that's 10x worse than anything LeBron James did minus "The Decision"

Not really, Chris Paul is no where near LeBron's level and probably won't ever get there(maybe, unless he moves to a contender). He is a big impact on NOLA, but I don't think they'll react the same way Cleveland did.

Wanna bet. CP3 means more to us than Drew Brees and he just brought us a pretty trophy home

At this point if he is going to go i say we ship him to some shit place. Seeing as how im pretty bitter how this whole situation is unfolding. I think we should be able to get some really good players to come back him up whenever we drop pejas monster contract i dont see how we couldnt pick up someone big. He is being a little bitch about this whole thing the NBA has become some what of a joke these past couple of months.

We're pissed because of the way he left.

I'm already planning my FUCK THE NBA campaign. Gonna be a big hit. This is the exact reason I don't like the MLB. The NBA is becoming like the MLB and just like the MLB I will not support it. I will follow the MLS before the NBA at this point. I would like to point out that CP3 has never outright said any of this stuff himself. He makes a joke at a wedding and it gets twisted like a pretzel. Everything concerning CP3 has come from someone claiming to be with his camp.

or hockey. Ive also noticed how everyone but CP is saying he wants to get moved but at the same time is he coming out and saying " hey this is all just a misunderstanding i want to stay." I know he said he wants to the hornets to be contenders, but whats contenders in his mind even the NBA players minds? Teams with nothing but all stars like you would put together in a fucking video game or actually giving an organization and the fans some time to put a team together. We won 56 games a couple of years ago and arent that far removed from NBA analyst saying one more piece and this team can make a championship run.

Chris Paul would be dumb to stay in New Orleans at this point. the only time you even hear their name brought is up is when they're trying to dump salary. If Paul overcomes his team's shitty ownership then he has to get past all the teams in the west. Then he has to get past teams like Miami and maybe Boston where other stars came together.

Even if Hornet's management got their shit together it'd be a while before NO managed to build a team that had a legit shot at winning the west, let alone the NBA title.

What would this accomplish? He's already in a shitty place and why would the other team trade for him knowing that he'll just opt out in a couple years and bounce on them?
