LSU with another close loss. We can't get shit done late in games. Gotta learn how to finish, but at least we're more competitive now.

I watched the Syracuse-Georgetown game last night. Great first half, bad second half, and Georgetown basically scored all the points at the end of the game to win. Jim Boeheim is such a ridiculous coach, its almost comical. He has all these guys who are 6-9 and athletic, yet his teams are so inconsistent. He spent the 2nd half yelling at the refs and his players. Great work.
Marquette had a huge comeback against USF, too.Comment

Syracuse has about 3 or 4 big men, including Rick Jackson who is the most physical and dominant player on either team, while Georgetown really has only one, and the one they have (Julian Vaughn) is a finesse player. Yet Syracuse rarely went inside. And defensively, as Frachilla pointed out, JT3 had his guys force Jackson to his right, where he frequently uses a move where throws his shoulder into the defender, and the Hoyas ended up drawing 3 offensive fouls on him and reducing him to a non factor. Then Vaughn would eat the backups alive.
Offensively, Georgetown kept running plays through the high post. And despite playing most of the game with 4 G's on the floor, Syracuse would frequently collapse on the high post player (usually Vaughn, who can't shoot, or PG Chris Wright), who would then kick the ball out to a wide open man for an easy 3-pointer. Boeheim never adjusted to this.
Boeheim also called a momentum killing timeout while his team was on a run, and had just made a steal. WTF? It took the crowd out of the game, and the Hoyas went on a run of their own. I thought the refs let JT3 call a defensive TO at first. It was mind boggling.Comment

I wanna to post about Duke/UNC
---UNC's Marshall is a crafty PG...he's slow as shyt and is a liabilitiy on defense but he sets up their offense very well. Once he learns how to shoot with touch when driving to the hoop, he'll become a dangerous 4-year PG for UNC.
---Barnes...SMH, he's a good player but he's not what he's hyped up to be.
---Nolan Smith making his case for NPOY, he carried this team.
---Seth is starting to become that #3 option...Duke needs him to stay consistent, he's the only other option who could really create for himself until Kyrie comes back (if he does)Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment
