Karon Abraham is the best player in college basketball.
But in all seriousness, Robert Morris should have another NEC championship caliber team. Two starters return in sophomore guards Abraham and Velton Jones, another sophomore in Russell Johnson was quoted by former coach Mike Rice as "the most talented player he's ever coached at RMU." The recruiting class coming in is a great one as well and the youngest coach in Division I basketball, Andrew Toole, takes over the reigns. He actually was the main recruiter for Rice and was the "associate head coach" so I don't think we'll skip a beat with him.
Riding with Michigan State again for my championship pick.
I have no idea how West Virginia is gonna do this year. After the Final Four run last year I think there are gonna be a lot of expectations for a team that doesn't have Butler or Ebanks, both of whom were very important to winning the big east and getting to the Final Four. Anyway... I don't expect WVU to have a great year this year but I do expect them to make the big dance but probably not get very far in it.
Big XII is up for grabs. Okie State will have a GREAT shot at winning the conference title. Sure we lost James Anderson and Obi Munelo but remember the name Markell Brown. He was Louisiana's Mr. Basketball and will be called upon to do some scoring for the Pokes. We also get Ray Penn back from injury.
I'm a huge college bball fan and am counting down the days till the season starts. Just got to get my season tickets
Kentucky's chances at any kind of run in the tournament depend on Enes Kanter's eligibility. He played for the same Turkish team that WVU's Deniz Kilicli played for. Deniz was able to play after a semester suspension. Kanter was the most dominant player in the Jordan Brand classic and he is a likely top 5 pick in this coming NBA draft.
If Kanter doesnt play UK will be a very small team after being a the tallest team in the NCAA last year. They still have Josh Harrellson but he's a stiff. Prized recruit Terrence Jones is listed at 6'9" and Kanter is listed at 6'11" but TJ looks taller when ive saw them in pictures together.
