He should stay in school to develop more; however, if he's a projected lottery pick he can develop in the NBA with better coaching, against better players while making a couple million. IMO he's the type if guy that staying in college wouldn't really benefit, because he's already dominant as a freshman.

I just don't trust 6'7"- 6'8'' post scorers as that high of a pick. I can't tell if he's the next Danny Fortson or Dejuan Blair (without the energy). He isn't a great athlete, doesn't have any real go to post moves and seems to have weight issues. I see him as one of these really, really good college guys who become average in the NBA.

He could end up a Zach Randolph/Carlos Boozer type player, but that's the absolute best case scenario and hinges on his work ethic. Both of these players have become productive, but far from being franchise cornerstones. I can see him struggling to score over the top of NBA bigs. He needs to develop a mid-range game badly if he wants to really succeed.

That's really what it is, especially as you said if he has to develop more moves and work on his body, one more year of college he's likely not going to get the same level of seasoning in regards to adding moves, plus he gets NBA weight training which will help him immensely.

I selfishly hope for a NBA lockout so alot of kids stay in school and we have more than 2 great teams next year in the NCAA.

I think any player can benefit from another year of college. Not to mention the maturity and personal growth that can happen to a person of that age.

I was going to say "But Glen Davis and Paul Millsap ..." but then I saw the "that high of a pick" qualification.

Or you could just watch the NBA where all those great players still play.

Yeah but the minute they put on an NBA uniform they become "me first" guys who don't care about winning and refuse to play defense. You know this.

And immediately begin hating the game of basketball. They also pound the floor far less.

I watch regular season NBA basketball some, but the amount of effort put in then vs the playoffs is astoundingly different. NCAA basketball seems to get great effort out of the kids all the time, they are playing for their dreams of the NBA.

Ohio State > Cavs or Wolves.

                      I'd stay too

Ask NAHSTE how much effort the Bulls put in against Atlanta yesterday

I think his stock won't be higher than it is now, he seems to be primed for a top 3 pick in this draft. Though I feel he can better himself if he stays...get more conditioned, improve his game...he maybe better off staying another year IMO.

All players say shit like this in the heat of the moment. In a few weeks, the thoughts of millions of dollars in the NBA will enter his head.

Tyrus Thomas after shitting on Duke in the tourney "I'll definently be back. I already asked coach about me and Glen Davis getting an apartment next year."

Tyrus after realizing he was gonna trick some NBA team into taking him early "Seeya."

Only thing gonna keep Sullinger in school is the threat of a lockout.
