Kind of an odd switch. With the downturn of Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State in the Big 12, Missouri was pretty much assured of a third place finish every year. The SEC isn't any better, but you are leaving a sure thing for an unknown in Arkansas. I figure there is some huge recruiting/academic scandal at Missouri that Anderson is fleeing from.

Arkansas is the second best basketball job in the SEC behind Kentucky in terms of fan and school support. Factor in his strong ties to the school and solid recruiting efforts by the previous staff and it was a no brainer

Arkansas made him the 7th highest paid coach and he is making just as much as Coach K. Hard to believe a coach that made it to the Elite 8 once is getting paid as much as Coach K is.

On top of what Herm said, he repeatedly said he loves it at Butler and I doubt he's going to throw that away by going to some second or third-rate school. When some of the most prestigious jobs open up in the future, then Stevens might go, but he's not settling for some place like fucking Missouri.
