Mike Anderson leaves Missouri for Arkansas

Why leave? He had a nice thing going at Mizzou and Arkansas is down in the dumps, it was what 93 when they had their championship run? I know he's a Nolan Richardson guy and all that mess but he was bringing much more excitement to Mizzou than Quinn Snyder did. He's an upgrade over former wildcat John Pelphrey thats for sure.

Missouri is a good job, its not a top 25 job but its probably the 3rd best basketball job in the big 12. They should be able to get someone decent.

Anderson's dream job supposedly was Arkansas, he studied under Norm so there you go. Also I heard it's a top job, 2nd only to Kentucky in the Big 12.

btw Stevens isn't going to Mizzou...

Brad Stevens is STILL IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT. You can't talk to him.

Push that dream aside before he breaks your heart. Stevens will not be at Mizzou next season.

Kind of an odd switch. With the downturn of Texas Tech, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State in the Big 12, Missouri was pretty much assured of a third place finish every year. The SEC isn't any better, but you are leaving a sure thing for an unknown in Arkansas. I figure there is some huge recruiting/academic scandal at Missouri that Anderson is fleeing from.

I hope he isn't able to hold onto those two top 30 recruits Arkansas had coming in with Pelphrey.

Arkansas is the second best basketball job in the SEC behind Kentucky in terms of fan and school support. Factor in his strong ties to the school and solid recruiting efforts by the previous staff and it was a no brainer

My only concern would be that Arkansas has shown with Heath and Pelphrey they expect instant results and they arent too worried about you wanting time to build your program.

Arkansas made him the 7th highest paid coach and he is making just as much as Coach K. Hard to believe a coach that made it to the Elite 8 once is getting paid as much as Coach K is.

However, Woy, why do you think Brad Stevens won't leave Butler when he makes 350k a year?
He was approached last year by Oregon and didnt leave. I know Phil Knight wouldve threw crazy cash at him.

On top of what Herm said, he repeatedly said he loves it at Butler and I doubt he's going to throw that away by going to some second or third-rate school. When some of the most prestigious jobs open up in the future, then Stevens might go, but he's not settling for some place like fucking Missouri.

Funny you say this because Mike Anderson told Missouri he wanted to retire a tiger someday. Weaksauce... He will chase the money.

Mack/Nored are both juniors. Andrew Smith is a sophomore and Khyle Marshall is a freshmen.

Yeah all that talk is coming from delusional faggots like you who think you're getting one of the best coaches in America to leave and coach a third-rate program.
