Pau Gasol admitted in his press conference after Sunday's Game 4 loss that he needs to do a better job of handling his off-court issues.
Despite Gasol saying that his personal life was not an issue, there was clearly something that was hampering his play throughout the series against Dallas. It should be interesting to see what kind of offseason looms for Los Angeles.
Lamar Odom was ejected from Game 4 vs. Dallas for a flagrant-2 foul against Dirk Nowitzki.
The cheap shot came with about nine minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and the Lakers trailing by 28 points. It wouldn't be surprising to see Odom face scrutiny from the league office following the team's embarrassing performance.
Seconds after Lamar Odom was ejected from Game 4, Andrew Bynum delivered a cheap elbow to J.J. Barea and was immediately tossed from the game.
Bynum had no intention of making a defensive play on the ball and clearly sought to injure Barea. The starting center is almost guaranteed to face a hefty fine from David Stern, who notoriously comes down hard on players that commit dirty plays. This is a sad way for the Phil Jackson coaching era to come to a close.
These two should be fined HUGE and suspended for the first week of next year. THUGS
