There is a reason he dumped the Cavs and teamed up with Wade and Bosh

And btw I am by no means giving LeBron a pass for his play in the finals, especially last night, which might've been the worst Star performance in a finals game in history. But it doesnt change for me who I think the better player is through a season, through a career, who id start a team with. LeBron is trying too hard to be the team guy and letting Wade and Bosh do their thing when they're playing well, which is great, but hes diverting much TOO much. I dont really expect him to step it up offensively either, but his play in other areas is obviously going to be ignored because of the lack of offense.

that's all well and good, but I know what my old eyes see

Wade LOOKS like the best player on the team right now, it looks like his team, not Lebrons

Magic had Kareem and Worthy, but it was Magics team, you can see that, all you guys are throwing out stats and this and that, use your eyes, who looks like the best player on the heat? Who is acting/playing like the best player on team?

I couldnt see MJ, Bird and Magic playing liike that in the 4th quarter in the NBA finals

I saw LeBron look like the best player on the team for 82 games and 3 playoff series.. so im not going to use the 4 games in the finals as an over reaction and say Wade is the better player when I know its really not the case. He may be playing better at the moment, you may label him more "clutch" if you want, but hes just not the better player. And thats no slouch on him.

I think Wade is the emotional leader of the team and they guy they all look up to. He's been in Miami the longest and its been his team in the good and bad years. Wade was having a bad offensive series vs the bulls but he stepped up with two huge blocks and a steal when the Heat needed some plays in that 4th quarter. It was pure heart and hustle when he blocked Luol Dengs jumper in the 4th quarter of a pivotal game in the CHI series.

Lebron is still the better basketball player. IIRC he's 6'9" 270 and one of the more athletic players in the NBA. Like others have mentioned if Lebron played with the heart and hustle Wade plays with then MAYBE we could entertain those MJ comparisons one day way on down the line.

I would build my team around Lebron but I would want D Wade taking the last shot of the game if i had my choice.

James, but Wade certainly is a great player. If I was ranking players in the NBA they'd be 1 and 2. James is much more passive and when Wade and Bosh are playing whe'll take a back seat to them. However, I'm not sure what was going on last night, because he just seemed too passive and not really interested.

Even with all of his talents of being able to score, rebound, pass, play defense, etc James at his core is a facilitator, but he sometimes falls in and out of that role with feeling the need to live up to the expectation that comes with being considered the leagues best player and that is of the guy who dominates the ball, takes the last shot. However, the leagues' best player has never played with the second best player who has a similar skill set.....IMO at times this makes James lazy and too passive, because he can defer. Now, I will say IMO Wade is a better closer, so in those moments Wade should get the ball but this doesn't mean that he's the better player.

Magic at his core was a facilitator, I don't think Magic would ever play like Lebron did last night, just an observation

Everyone brings up Jordan, but he isnt even Magic yet IMO

                    Personally I would take D-wade.

However, Lebron is a stud in his own right.

I assume you’re talking about game 5 against the Celtics last year and last night’s game. I don’t know what his problem is, but James seems to pick the worse times to be a no-show. He certainly isn’t the master of good timing. With all of the criticism and spotlight he receives you would think that he would realize that having a bad night is one thing, but looking apathetic is totally different….especially on the biggest stage.

At least when Kobe did it he was trying to prove a point as a response to him taking too many shots, but James doesn’t really seem to have a purpose behind his.

LeBron is easily a better all around basketball player, athlete, etc. This is unquestionable.

But as I said before the season, the Miami Heat are still Wade's team.

Well according to Jon Barry LeBron is a mix between Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan.

I don't know who's better or even care at this point, but the best player in the league doesnt score a point in 2 straight 4th quarters of the NBA finals

EDIT: did he score in the 4th last night? can't remember
