I'm not saying he hasn't shit the bed, I'm saying that all great players have at some point. He's 25, he's story is hardly written.

He's a victim of unreal expectations, constant comparisons to Jordan (who he stacks up favorably to at age 25, btw), the internet age, and his own cockiness/unlikability.

How Wade is being praised while Lebron is being shit on is simply unfair since LBJ essentially carried Wade's ass this far. Wade blew Game 4 just as much as LBJ did. LBJ shut down the MVP last round while Wade checked fringe players.

Is that directed at my comment?

What does that have to do with Warner saying James is held to an 'unreal standard' and him not scoring in the 4th quarter?

Asking a superstar, one of the best players in the league to score points in the 4th qtr in the finals is not an unreal standard

Because this thread is Wade vs LBJ, and Wade isn't held to LBJ's standard.

LBJ plays well, Heat win, regardless of Wade's performance for the most part. It doesn't work that way the other way around.

Who is carrying who here? Who gets the tougher defensive assignments? Who is racking up triple doubles and still being called a dog?

Wade never gets heat, LBJ is a heat magnet, that's the unreal standard. But of course he needs to play big in the 4th, no one has argued that.

as a casual basketball fan at this point, if that even, was hardcore for many many years, still know what I am watching (I think)

Just by watching this finals, Wade plays and acts like the best player on the team and James plays and acts like a role player, that's just how I see it

This thread isnt even about 'who is better' it seems, like I said, I don't care, but James is playing awful for his talent, Wade screwed up last game also, but at least he is trying, James isnt even around or trying to be the best

I respect John Starks going like 0-17 in the finals over what James has been doing, he doesnt even want the ball, guys like Magic and Isiah who were facilitators knew when to take over and showed they were the best players on the floor

The unreal standard refers to everything with LeBron. I'm not defending his bad fourth quarters those are undoubtedly bad, but he seemingly can't do anything right if he's only validated by being better then Jordan.

Thing is, I'm not comparing him to Magic or Thomas or Jordan. I'm comparing him to Wade.

Rob, not trying to troll you here, but did you watch the Boston or Chicago games? When Wade faded into the backround, nobody ripped him. Lebron does not have that cushion. That's what I mean by unreal standards. You immediately compare him against all time greats, but only when he comes up short. Nobody does that to Wade.

And for the record, I hope the Heat lose by 40 in game 6 and LBJ goes 3-19 with 14 turnovers.

I caught a couple of the Bulls game, wasnt really interested though, didnt seem the the Bulls couldn't win and were overmatched, wasnt really paying attention like the finals

most of my points/thoughts like I stated earlier are from watching the finals

I know what it is. It's the pressure. LeBron just breaks down in the finals.

                        11 points in 5, 4th quarters? That's just laughable.

yea this whole thread wasnt really to say LBJ was a bad player, but rather wade was better then i thought.

it really looks like wade is the captain of that team.

West wasn't even on the team that won 15 games this year. And Mo Williams wasn't there for a lot of they year.

And besides, LBJ with that very same team wouldn't get to the finals this year. 07 was one of the worst Eastern Conferences of all time.

All great players have had bad games in big spots.

Michael Jordan scored at least 20 points in every finals game he ever appeared in. Just sayin'

Yes and I think it's pretty well established that MJ > LeBron.
