Maybe the Sixers will sign a good player this year, or continue their 10 year run of 7 and 8 seeds.

Srsly though, if I'm Dwight (or any other major guy hitting F.A. not named Chris Paul), I think the Nets are an interesting possibility.

By then, the team will be in Brooklyn and you assume if they can get another superstar that Deron would be convinced to stay (perhaps not, who knows).

The Knicks will never win, despite having two superstars, because of their stupidfuckheaddouche owner. It'll be weird as fuck, media wise, having two teams in NYC...but whoever winning will be considered the darling.

Switch Lopez for Howard...still need a scorer at the 2 or 3, a few more minor pieces and that's a dangerous team.

maybe its just me but i think theres a strong possibility that Deron goes to the Knicks in free agency.

Wouldn't mind it. He does seem wishy-washy on committing to the Nets, Brooklyn or no Brooklyn.

Dolan would find some way to fuck it up though.

At least he's honest. Now Orlando has a year to prepare for his departure.
There's no doubt they have to trade him. And, let's be fair, is Dwight Howard so great that he deserves this much attention?
Howard a very good player, no doubt, but is he really elite?

I watch basketball, but for me a guy like Dwight Howard doesn't win championships. He is a great complementary piece.
An amazing athlete, no doubt, but if I'm in the NBA Finals I want the guy with the killer instinct and the results ... not the guy will the million dollar talent and OK will to win.

Actually, I think we just saw that final series.

They don't/won't have enough money to spend another superstar.

Even after Billups' contract comes off the books, the cap is coming down hard. They'll have to find a young/inexpensive PG and Center over the next few years.

Otherwise...wasted primes of Melo and Amar'e.

Definitely. Howard is the #1 center in the game and there is absolutely no one like him.
