Another stinker in the B10 last night between MSU and Illinois.
I'm shocked Illinois isn't better. Leonard and Paul are both ridiculously talented.Comment

Just watched the replay of Marquette v Seton Hall from last night.
Surprised Wade and LeBron stayed until the end considering how awful the actual game was.
Nice 7 in a row streak for Marquette but they are going to need Gardner to be healthy if they want to beat ND this weekend.
I still like UNC in a tourney format. I get the feeling that they are just going through the motions at the moment.Comment

I liked UNC until I saw them play. They don't have any oncourt leadership and have too many nice guys. IMO losing Strickland will hurt. Obviously the NCAA tourney isn't about the best team, but the team that is playing the best, so they could win, but I see them being upset.Comment

I just think the Zeller-Henson-McAdoo length will cause problems in the tourney and Barnes seemed to step up during last years ACC and NCAA Tourney. My only issue with them is the inconsistent guard play.Comment

Charlie Spoonhour dead at 72.
I remember his good St Louis teams best, but wherever he went tournament bids followed. Good coach.Comment

haven't heard much from Woy and his RMU boys...
they recently lost to St Francis (NY), they got a local kid from allentown, PA Jalen Cannon...freshman PF...been beasting for a kid who wasn't recruited by the big boys of course (he's a 6'6", 230lb PF) but has a polished post game and nice touch...he went 13pts, 11 boards and a block in that game...look out for him, once he continues to improve he will be a double double machine for them.Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment

Beat Mount St. Mary's yesterday, but not before going down 13 to them in the second half. It seems like after playing well in OOC play, these guys expected the NEC title to just be handed to them and that's just not the case. They won't defend the three, take too many threes and can't finish around the rim. It's pathetic.
The last few games have also shown how much they miss Karon Abraham this year. Coron Williams is an excellent three-point shooter when he can catch and go up with it, and Velton Jones can create his own shot but neither of them are as consistent with it as Karon. Karon can stop and pop or create a shot off the dribble, and along with his quick release, he's so explosive getting up in the air that it's hard to block it even with him being 5'8" at best.
Cannon's a very nice player for St. Francis (NY). Most of his points came from the foul line from what I remember, but he's a load down low and should be a good one for years to come in the NEC.
