VMI plays the same style in D1 and it's the reason they've been #1 in scoring for the past 4 or 5 years among all NCAA D1 schools. Unfortunately I'm pretty sure they've been last in PA every year they've led as well. It's basically first person who gets the ball on the 3 point line takes the shot, hell VMI's center used to shoot more 3's than the some of the guards.

VMI has done very well the past few years, especially when you take into consideration their recruiting disadvantages. They were 18-13 (10-8) last year.

Grinnell's recruiting is hilarious.

They come to my area every once in a while to look at players and they basically find 7th or 8th guys on HS teams who can shoot, can't dribble, etc and just tell them they will chuck shots the entire game.

They don't really even have PG's or centers. Their entire team is SG/SF's who just chuck.
