Just did the math, and if Paul were to sign with the Knicks he would be losing out on a lot of money. I don't know if the CBA is four or five year deals, so I did the math for both. If he signed a four-year deal with the Knicks, Paul would make $58.19M. If he signed a four-year deal somewhere else (with the exception of New Orleans), he would make $73.27M. If he signed a five-year deal with the Knicks, he would make $74.6M. If he signed a five-year deal somewhere else (with the exception of New Orleans), he would make $93.93M.
In conclusion, he's probably not going to the Knicks.
That's where he wants to play though. It's his decision, so why don't we trust his word over yours?
If we are gonna use this logic then let's figure what he has said? All that CP has said was a wedding toast years ago in which has helped the media fuel so much speculation. I'm not saying that isn't where he wants to go, but he hasn't really said too much on the subject.
