Glad my Kings locked him up. Excited to see how JJ Hickson plays with Cousins.

Knicks and Wizards talking about Tauriaf to make room for the Chandler sign and trade.

Mavericks will be taking back a low salaried player but will get a trade exception for Chandler.

Also, Mike Bibby has reportedly emerged as an option for Knicks PG.

Mike D'Antoni said Friday that the Knicks will not be hunting for another PG following Chauncey Billups' exit, and that Toney Douglas can handle the job

Mavs seem to be chasing after Dalembert again.

David West to Boston in a sign and trade (3 year, $30 mil) for Jermaine O'Neal and another player.

Don't expect O'Neal to stay with NO though.

He still get his money and can now pick whatever team he wants to play for. I wouldn't mind suffering Gilbert Arenas' fate.

When a player is amnestied they are sent through an auction like system through the teams. Each team makes a bid and whatever the highest bid is wins. That new contract is then compared to his contract with Orlando. The new team take on however much of the old contract they bid. The Magic pretty much just eat difference, but that contract comes off the books.

But the player still gets his dollars. I doubt Arenas is crying.

Amnesty guys do get all their money since all NBA contracts are guaranteed.

Meanwhile, the Magic have given Howard permission to speak to NJ, LAL and DAL about potential trades.

This is one of the primary reasons my interest has slipped in the NBA. These players have total control of where they play, regardless of free agency.

Why doesn't the Magic GM just tell Howard 'listen big guy, IF we CHOOSE to trade you, i'll decide where you go based on what's best for the Magic, not what's best for you'.

                                It's insane.
