PP34...not having the best year but he's a big name. I get it.

Iggy belongs IMO. Leader of a surprise 76ers team. Hasn't missed lareg chunks of time due to injury etc.

Iggy>Deng for the ASG this year.

      I'll give Iggy.

The same reason Pierce makes the all-star game (his name) is what I believe is the same reason Smith missed the game.

Deng is a decent player, but come on. I'd much rather see Josh Smith, Brandon Jennings, Rajon Rondo, etc Deng is nothing more than a glorified hustle/role player.

          Disagree.

I think Smith misses it because of Smith's "repuation". Whatever.

Deng made it, but I think he in no way deserved it.

Even a guy like Hibbert IMO should have gone in before Deng.

                Definitely has a great case.

I don't he missed because his stats were bad. His name isn't out there, and the Pistons aren't that good.

Like it or not, the all-star game selections are made based off of two things, name and team record.

                See Ming, Yao

                Iverson, Allen.

And the reasons why Smith wasn't selected by the coaches, because he's an undisciplined player, and criticized the coaches who selected him are valid.

So you acknowledge he deserves to be an all star, but yet you wouldn't have him replace the least deserving member of the all star team?

Pierce is the least deserving member.

Pierce and Josh Smith have outproduced Deng this season, Pierce by a large margin. I hate Paul Pierce but the day we stop seeing his shitty pump fakes in the All Star game is the day he retires. We all know the big market clubs get at least 1 reserve, 2 if it can be even remotely justified.

Oh wait ... that brings us full circle. Fuck Deng's inclusion, he does not belong. Put him on the Pacers and he's nowhere close.

If the Hawks had the best record in the NBA two years in a row, Smith probably would have been included.

No, not deserving, but good for him.

He and Charlie V played ball at prep right down the road from where I grew up. Interviewed them back in the day. Good guy.

That is your whole argument. You really suck at this. "Yes, Smith should be an All Star, but not over Deng." "What, why?" "Deng's team is better."

That's what the coaches seem to use.

If it were my team I'd go

                              Rose Rondo

                              Wade Iggy Johnson

                              James Anthony Deng

                              Bosh Smith

                              Howard Hibbert
