    Robert Morris 87, Quinnipiac 75

This wasn't as close as the 12-point difference suggested. RMU dominated after a 10-0 first-half run, which was spearheaded by all Velton Jones buckets.

Both Jones and Karvel Anderson returned from their injuries and performed well. Jones had 14 points and five assists in 25 minutes, while Anderson had nine on 3-4 shooting from behind the arc. Both were eased into things at first, but eventually were back to their old selves (although Jones had to be looked at by trainers at the end of the first half after a collision).

Russell Johnson led all scorers with 22 points, while Lucky Jones added 18. The only thing I would have liked to see from this one was some minutes for sophomore forward Keith Armstrong, who missed all of non-conference play with a foot injury and will be a much-needed asset down the stretch.

Robert Morris 84, St. Francis (PA) 70

Despite a horrific defensive effort (55.6 FG%, 55.6 3PT%), RMU survives on the road thanks to big first half, led by junior Karvel Anderson's 19 straight points in 6 minutes on 7-7 (5-5 3PT) shooting.

Four Colonials (Anderson, Lucky Jones, Velton Jones, and Russell Johnson) were in double-digits, but freshman Stephen Hawkins was the second most impressive player for RMU on the floor. Starting for an injured Mike McFadden, Hawkins played 22 minutes and had eight points on 4-6 shooting. Someone who wasn't supposed to play much this season, Hawkins has grown to be a better player with each game and has become one of the most valuable players on this team.

Sophomore Keith Armstrong made his season debut after sitting out with a foot injury and played 12 minutes. He's another big man who will be needed down the stretch with the lack of depth.

Bryant fell to Sacred Heart tonight, which moves the Colonials to just one game behind in conference play.

        Robert Morris 76, Mount St. Mary's 68

Some mental lapses in the last two minutes made this closer than it should have been, but Robert Morris dominated Mount St. Mary's from the tip and come up with their sixth-straight win.

Karvel Anderson led all scorers with 22, while Russell Johnson added 14. Mike McFadden came back from injury and added nine, and Velton Jones also had nine while dealing with foul trouble all night.

Lucky Jones left the game late with a knee injury after chasing a loose ball out-of-bounds. No one knows the extent of the injury at this point.

Bryant fell to LIU in a thriller and Sacred Heart beat Monmouth, creating a three-way tie for first place in the NEC. RMU will have their toughest test of the season here next week as they travel to Brooklyn to face LIU and St. Francis (NY).
