Superstar at best I meant too thought it was implied. If you don't believe me, just wait. Once this kid gets some pieces around him he will put up average 20 a game with 10 dimes. You wait.

Yes. Because Williams IMO has Top 5-10 wing potential and that's the most important position to me in the NBA right now.

Kyrie I don't see being a Top 5 PG though.

He's not currently and maybe he sneaks in once Paul, Parker, etc start going away but every year there has been some PG prospects coming out to to. Rose, Wall, Evans, Irving, Rubio, whatever.

Irving is a really good player but Williams has more upside IMO and with two picks in the Top 4 I think the Cavs would have been better to go with Williams/Kanter Williams/Knight.

Nothing screams being an individual superstar like needing pieces around you.

I don't see it. He struggles to guard 3's and is weak in the post v 4's. His outside shooting has yet to translate to the pro's either. I think he's more likely to remain an intriguing yet underwhelming talent then he is a superstar.

Kyrie I don't see being a Top 5 PG though.
Despite having a better rookie year that was borderline all-star?

Irving is better then Wall, Evans and Rubio and it's not even close really. Rose is a once in a decade talent and is arguably already the best PG in the NBA today.

What aren't you getting about this.

Kyrie is better now. I've never said otherwise. I think Williams has the potential to be better than irving down the road. And no i don't see Kyrie as a Top 5 PG.

            Way to miss the point.

The point isn't that they are better or worse than Kyrie the point is you can seemingly get a pretty damn good PG each year in the draft if you draft at or near the top as Cleveland has. IMO a wing like Williams and his potential is a bit harder to come by.

Okay that's your opinion. I personally think a 19 year old who got all-star consideration in his rookie year after only playing 12 games in college is probably going to have a better chance at reaching his ceiling.

I think we will just have to agree to disagree on this. I don't think you will find many players in the draft like Irving in the coming years. We'll see about it I guess.

So the point is that you'd rather take the chance on a tweener who has yet to show why he was worthy of being the number two pick over a PG who is having an amazing rookie year after only 12 games in college.

                        Got it. :joeybats:

Yeah, I know Irving only played in 11 games at Duke.

I'd take Kyrie Irving over Williams now and in the future, but that is because I'm a big Kyrie fan and have been for awhile. However, I'd like to see Williams on another team, because IMO he's a natural PF, but Kevin Love is the best PF in the the league and will be for the considerable future. Love just does everything Williams does, but better. Williams gets limited minutes and doesn't get them at his natural position and even when he does he still has Love on the court eating up all the interior space. I have a feeling that if he played for a team where he was the best PF he'd challenge Kyrie for rookie of the year.

Scored 10 of the last 12 for Cleveland including the GW layup with 4 seconds left @Denver
