But Marshall is no where near that type of play maker yet. Doing it at UNC is different then doing at the pro level, and I was probably Marshall's biggest supporter on draft day to boot.
A playmaker is a playmaker........Marshall is a natural floor leader/playmaker......once he gets the NBA game down he'll be a solid PG.

Nash was the only one that could do anything to make that team not awful. I am a fan of Dragic but when fucking Michael Beasley is going to be your primary scoring option with his volume shooting there is just nothing doing.

Dragic is miles ahead of Marshall in so many areas right now, and Phoenix needs a lot more efficient production on offense than Marshall is capable of. I wouldn't be surprised if they play them together with Dragic at the 2 for stretches though given both of their size, and that seemed to work relatively well when they were able to do it in Houston.

Bingo. Great job of telling yourself why he shouldnt be a starter right off the bat.

You dont need any more breakdown. Hes not ready, period. If teams thought his skills were ready for coming in and starting right away he wouldve been picked much higher. There hasnt been that good of a pure passer in college in quite some time, the rest of his game is far, far behind.

I didn't know every PG in the league had to be elite. The league is full of solid PGs.

I'm not sure how you define "ready". if teams didn't think he could play he wouldn't have been a lottery pick. Obviously, he's not Kyrie Irving or Derrick Rose, but Marshall will be okay. He's a natural PG that pushes the ball, finds the open man, and sets up his teammates. Marshall makes his teammates better simply by his ability to get them the ball in different ways. Marshall has a lot to contribute and can do these things from day 1.

Not start, thats for damn sure.

If teams thought the rest of his game wasnt so far behind he wouldve been a top 3-5 pick. You dont find that pure of passers in college basketball too often. The rest of his game needs a ton of work. His shooting ability is virtually non existent.

The league isnt full of rookie starting point guards.

We shall see, but when he's starting, making plays and getting people excited remember who told you.

I will 100% guarantee Marshall doesnt start over Dragic at any point this year unless Dragic is out due to injury. I say this with extreme confidence. I wont remember you told me anything when hes making plays for others because ive already stated several times that hes more than capable of doing that, so much as to say there hasnt been that pure of a passer in college in a long time. But thats not the only aspect of the game of basketball. The guy just isnt ready to start in the league yet, ive given nothing to praise about the positives of his game. Infact I was one of the few people hyping him up in the chat box on draft night, even calling his landing spot in Phoenix. Hes just not ready to start, Phoenix knew that when they took him.
