You're also forgetting he averaged more PPG than Lebron James and was just barely beaten for the scoring title by Kevin Durant. Both those players are bigger, stronger and get to the basketball more than Kobe. Kobe's age has begun to catch up with him and he doesn't get to the basketball as much as he used to. Again, if you played the sport you would know that the closer your shot, typically the higher your FG%. Same reason why post players typically have the best FG% in the league. Hell, according to your logic, Pau Gasol is a better scorer than Kevin Durant, I mean he shot a better FG% than him. Dwight Howard is also apparently a more offensive threat than the top 3 scorers in the league (KD, Kobe, and LBJ).

For the kind of shots Kobe takes, having a majority of your games with a greater than 45% FG percentage is impressive. He's not dunking the ball every other play, 4 out of 5 of his shots are jump shots.
Yeah to shoot 43% and 4 out of 5 shots are jumpers is pretty fucking pathetic. I'm sorry but Kobe didn't have a good season.

Considering only 9 SGs accomplished more than that last year and kobe was within .08% of #10 in his 16th year in the league

He'd be top 10 in FG% as a SF as well, ahead of Melo.

Great to see Eddie George transitioning from playing in the NFL to head coaching in the NBA so quickly.

Bron didn't take all the big shots - that was the flack he was getting. REmember, he was always passing to a teammate instead of taking the last shot. Plus, all media was trying to document his struggles in the 4th qtr, real or perceived.

This is a complete team makeover, much like the Heat. Yes, Kobe and Gasol are championship savvy, but the rest of that team isn't.

This is a complete makeover and will need 18 months or so to get it right. And, one has to wonder about Dwight Howard. Clearly not a championship-oriented player. Simply about Dwight. Hell, he didn't even want to play for the Lakers.
Howard has been in a finals too. And Nash has more playoff experience then the majority of the league. All the key players are second season savvy enough.
the groceries are fine..now it just depends how its cooked

I'm sorry but Mike Brown is a fool just for the fact that he has Gasol playing stretch-forward.
