                The rationale in that case (and the basis for the rule) is that in the spirit of the competition you are to put out your best team at all times. It's not fair if Miami gets to face crappy Spurs while Memphis has to face good Spurs.

                However, I'm of the opinion that Pop can do whatever he wants with his squad (the same way Holloway could do with Blackpool). If you have a roster of 14 guys, you can play them as you see fit
