Tracy McGrady is having a rough go about in China. His team is 0-7, and he just did this.

Antawn Jamison and his 3 rebounds and 3 points really helped the Lakers last night he's a way better fit for them than Pau Gasol

Having a stretch 4 that can hit threes is probably better than what Pau gives you right now (mostly long 2s)
The rebounding battle isn't that big of a deal, especially when you have Dwight Howard (who even though he's regressing is still a great rebounder). Likewise, look around the league, a lot of teams are sacrificing the rebounding battle to offset it with a stretch 4. Eventually when you have enough people not really caring, it won't be a "loss".
The Lakers only had 22 rebounds last night, that's pathetic.

Right. And despite that they probably would have won if they could even feign interest in playing help defense. If you think the difference between Gasol and Jamison is what's causing that team to lose, you're clueless.

I think Gasol is an awesome player and way better than Jamison, but Jamison's ability to create space allows more opportunities for Dwight, Nash and Kobe. Kobe and Gasol occupy largely the same space these days.

Do you have a rebuttal or any sort of tangible thoughts on the subject?

I know it's insane to think that a PF that can take threes opens up the middle of the paint for high pick and roll situations that the D'Antoni offense thrives on (even though their most successful years have featured such a player), so I'd like to hear your thoughts on the subject.

CJ Miles has 16 at half against the Lakers.

He hadn't scored 16 points in a whole game yet this season:kagawa:

I can see the logic in Jamison being a more traditional fit into the D'Antoni system offensively, but at this point in his career (and any point really) he is just so unbelievably incompetent defensively that it doesn't even matter.

Kyrie Irving is impossible to guard. He is one of the best one on one players in the league. Just nasty!!

Fire D'Antoni now and just bring back Phil Jackson.

That fourth quarter was awesome...Kyrie and Kobe going back and forth was fun as hell to watch.

Dwight hasn't brought a damn thing to Lakers this year.
