Even playing NBA 2K should teach you that these things aren't possible lol.

I think KGs PER was somewhere around 19. I don't know Jordan's off the top of my head but I'm willing to bet anything it was worse.

Jordan is also going to be overpaid for several more seasons and while KG is overpaid now, that contract is almost over.

You can also leave KG out there at the end of the game because he's not the liability from the line Jordan is and having someone who can hit a mid-range jumper at the #5 spot should leave the paint less congested to let Blake do his work down low.

Smh, I'm so sick of people making up crap.

Garnett was just as good statistically as (if not better than) Marc Gasol this year... yeah I said it.

Garnett played 29.7mpg and Gasol played 35mpg this year. Their numbers in those minutes are basically identical (despite KG playing less):

          KG: 14.8ppg, 7.8rpg, 0.9bpg on 50% FG & 79% FT
          Gasol: 14.1ppg, 7.8rpg, 1.7bpg on 49% FG & 85% FT

Inb4... "b-b-b-b-b-but Gasol is the better defender"! No he isn't. Garnett is just as good a defensive anchor and Gasol benefits largely from having the best perimeter defensive backcourt in the league (although Rondo/Bradley was no slouch either).

KG is still a very, very good basketball player.

This is a common fallacy in the NBA today. People think that just because the stats are similar, that means the play is similar. Marc Gasol played on a team that routinely slowed down the game to get the lowest point scoring in the league by a pretty sizable margin. Boston was not nearly using the ground it out pace like Memphis was. But you think Marc scoring 14.1 PPG is the same as Garnett scoring 14.8 because they are close. No, just no.

I did not say they play similar (they play nothing alike, Gasol operates basically strictly out of the post, while KG does a lot of pick and pop, mid range scoring and high post isos). I said their overall impact on the game is similar, and it is. Yeah Memphis played at the slowest pace in the league, but Boston isn't exactly run n' gun and they play at a pace that ranks in the bottom half.

And your statement that Memphis had the lowest point scoring total is incorrect. They had the slowest pace, yes, but their points/game ranked 27th.

Please point out what makes Gasol a higher-echelon player than Garnett, because you haven't proven that yet.

Large flury of trade rumors surrounding the Wziards and Bulls in a Deng for #3 & Okafor swap. SMH if grunfield even considered this.

A source tells Michael Lee of the Washington Post that the Wizards have no intention of trading the No. 3 pick for Deng, so it appears these discussions are unlikely to get too far past the "exploratory" stage.

Died down a bit but I don't want it to. I would dance in the streets if this happened. There's no way though.

SOB. Can't hate him for it but damn.

JR in South Beach sounds like a lot of fun though.
