His deal with the Cavs will include $6 million of $12 million guaranteed in the first year, then there will be a team option of $12.5 million for 2014-15. It's a decent reward-to-risk ratio for the Cavs with the deal, which is saying something since Bynum didn't work out for teams during this free agency period. He will be reunited with coach Mike Brown from their Laker days and the Cavs have a pretty impressive roster compared to last season with Bynum, Anthony Bennett, Jarrett Jack and Earl Clark. Of course, there will be tremendous concern about how their team needs to stay healthy.
I like it. Low risk since its only 2 years. Has proven to be a top 3 center when hes on the court. Really like what the Cavs are doing.

That Andrew Bynum signing just might be a big coup for the Cavs...if he plays and Kyrie plays...that's a strong team.

If the Bucks had a few more like him, they might actually be worth watching. I'm surprised more teams weren't looking at him.

No doubt, I'm somewhat pleased with the roster going forward.

I like that signing and the deal is great for the Cavs. Only $6M guaranteed and the rest is in incentives. If he plays he will be worth the $24M. People can say what they want about him, but when he is healthy he is at the very least the 2nd best C in the game.

Yeah the Bucks just need to cut some dead weight and they'll be alright.

Teague/Mayo backcourt is pretty affordable and promising, Sanders/Ilyasova/Henson are also a great frontcourt.

Always liked him, but felt like he was falling short of his true potential. Can't really put my finger on it but feels like we were always waiting on him to become something more. (Being the guy we "settled" for after Ty Lawson was taken one spot earlier will do that.) He can get to the hoop at will with his quickness, and he's an active defender. He'll put up the occasional big scoring night but he's not always as aggressive as he should be. At the same time though he's not really a "pass first" guard either.

Some who cover the Hawks are saying he never displayed enough leadership qualities, but I don't know how valid of a criticism that is. It is funny that he's staying with Larry Drew, who I feel stunted his development a lot by failing to trust him more in crunch time of games and jerking his minutes around. LD was constantly calling him out in post-games for not being more aggressive also, so it will be an interesting relationship to watch.

Chauncey Billups agreed on a two-year, $5 million-plus contract to play for the Pistons.

Supposedly Detroit wants to move Brandon Knight to the 2. Chauncey would fill in at the 1 with Calderon being his backup (maybe vice versa?).

Wouldn't be surprised if Stuckey, Knight or KCP get moved at some point this offseason or before the trade deadline. Pretty deep rotation they have going though.

Calderon left for Dallas. They picked up the option on Stuckey and re-signed Bynum, which makes this signing all the more strange. I highly doubt they plan on Chauncey starting, id imagine Knight will man the 1 and one of Stuckey, Singler, KCP, or Kim English will fill in at the 2. Add in Bynum, Siva and Middleton and that is a shit ton of guards on one roster. A couple guys gotta go for sure.

What is Detroit doing? These roster moves make no sense.
