That was a very convincing argument, come to think of it a lot of people are over looking Turner. He should have some say in the MVP race. Although I still lean towards AP, that team depends on him so much, he is the Vikings offense.

some of you are throwing random ass names out there, like matt ryan and big ben.

dree brees should still be in the race, remember it's most valuable player not guy with the best stats.

It's also about the record Spectrum. As much as people want to say it isn't, nobody is going to win it with a 5 win team. Brady wasn't the most VALUABLE player last year, but he broke records and had a undefeated team. He had the best stats and most of the time, it's a QB that wins it recently.

AD has 12 less carries and 160 more yards. Turner also doesn't get spelled at the goal line.

          Peterson 4.94 ypc
          Turner 4.28 ypc

almost 5 yards per carry is huge, even though i dont like stats per se. also turner has more weapons around him, 3 good wide outs and Norwood is pretty good as well. The Vikngs have 1 good wide out and Chester Taylor. Matt Ryan may be a rookie, but can anyone really argue that Ferrote or even Jackson are better qb's than he is? I am not saying Turner shouldn't be in the mix, but I don't think he outshines AD.

It should be a defensive player. There is no offensive player running away with the award like in years past and there are a lot of defensive standouts.

            - Ed Reed
            - Troy Polamalu
            - Demarcus Ware
            - James Harrison

Any of those players are way more deserving than any offensive player.

It's gotta be Kurt Warner or Drew Brees

these guys have similar stats, and everyone is talking about Brees is gonna break the passing yard record... but Kurt warner is only 42 yards behind him in that category.

yea i'm pretty sure byron could lead the steelers to the playoffs if ben went down, penn defiantly should get some press.

and yes primetime232 your right, just because a qb has mind blowing stats but a losing record they shouldn't be considered

Warner's going to have a tough time in NE with snow falling.

Brees and Warner don't deserve MVP one bit.

It's gotta be a defensive player. btw Cassel deserves MVP more than big ben.

While I agree that a defensive player probably does deserve it, I doubt it will happen.

Peyton's performance Thursday was probably just enough to let him slip by with it.

If Ware goes bucknasty next week though, who knows, maybe he'll snag it.

look at the line big ben plays behind and how he consistently brings the steelers down the field for game winning/tying scores. you put any other qb behind that line and this team wont be where they are now.
