Possibly skipping my first day of classes to watch NSD. One of my favorite times in sports.

Despite the coaching change, ND could end up with an unbelievable class, but can also not get much.

Some guys i expect to commit to ND by NSD.
    -Matt James OT 4star
    -Kona Schwenke DE 3star
-Jeremy Ioane S 3star (really hopin this guy comes in, his highlight tape he looks like a troy polalmalu build, no racist. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn-0TcChGJY"][/ame])

Guys that i pray land to us but unlikely
    -Seantrel Henderson
    -Christian Jones
    -Dietrich Riley
    -Corey Cooper
    -JR Furguson

If we can land everyone i think we do and maybe 1 or 2 of those surprise picks. I will be ecstatic.

Seantrel Henderson should be a Buckeye... after that I'm not sure since we'd only have 1 spot left, and it may likely be '09 OL Morgan Moses, who went to Fork Union this past year.

I still had hopes of landing Lattimore, but with Royster returning, I don't think he would want to sit on the bench for at least his first year.

Acutally with Stefphon Green still there he'd be #3.

I took him into account too. No Royster = Green and Lattimore sharing carries. Royster = Royster and Green sharing carries, with Lattimore riding the bench.

And I didn't even figure in Brandon Beachum, who's a damn solid back in his own right.

Lattimore is down to South Carolina and Auburn with SC being the favorite.

Yea and LSU has 3 RB's already coming in with Jakhari Gore, Spencer Ware, and Alfred Blue. Not to mention Ridley, Ford, and Murphy. We are well stocked at RB. I think the staff went ahead and and got more RB recruits after there was some doubt in Seastrunk.

EDIT: He will have more success in the PAC-10 in Oregon's offense anyway. Even though they are going to have a Sophomore as their premiere back next season Seastrunk will get some carries.

Actually most top schools cooled on Seastrunk because of the street agent running his recruitment... I'm pretty sure USC and LSU were two of them.

I'm really excited for Ware and Blue, and Gore intrigues me. But to say we are well stocked at RB is a complete falsehood.

Murphy and Ridley have each had knee surgery in the past 18 months, and Ford hasn't played a game yet and from what I've heard, wasn't that impressive in his year on the scout squad.

RB is by far our biggest question mark on offense, oh wait, Gary Crowton is still there, so playcalling is still the biggest.

How much input is Gonzalez gonna have?

He's the "Passing game coordinator" which I think will just mean he'll coach the WRs and comprise half of the gameplan at the weekly meeting. I think most of his input will be during the game planning process. Come gameday, I expect Crowton will still be making all the calls (unless the rumor of Miles overriding him all the time is true).

But with how bad our last WR coach, McCarthy, was doing, I'm very excited to see what our receivers will become. As soon as Gonzalez got there he corrected a flaw in their footwork, where they weren't switching their take off feet based on the type of route they were running.

That's right, our WR coach couldn't even instruct our kids to switch their front foot if they were cutting in or out. Hearing that McCarthy hadn't even corrected the most basic elements of playing the position makes me wonder if he was more responsible for our 117th ranked passing attack than Crowton's awful gameplans.

But I'm still skeptical of Crowton's playcalling and would like to hand the reins over to Gonzo if/when he proves he's capable.

I have complete faith in Ford. I have a feeling he will come out of the Spring as the starter. You are talking like Murphy and Ridley won't be healthy in time for the season. Ridley managed to rehab quick enough to be ready for last season. He will be healthy and Murphy hurt himself early in the season. No doubt he will be ready for the Summer. If the freshman can catch on quickly I wouldn't mind Ridley returning to FB. I do agree on the Crowton thing though. He has got to go

EDIT: I will also put the biggest question mark on the lines. Both O-Line and D-line are about to be shaken up. Turns out T-Bob is hot garbage. Hopefully my boy Chris Faulk takes over at Left Tackle after Ciron Black completely underachieved last season. As far as D-line is concerned I am unsure who they plan on replacing Alem with. Maybe Sam Montgomery. Levingston can't stay healthy whatsoever. I think he needs to move inside.
