Senior, I was getting some attention from Clemson, Virginia and a few other D1 schools but it was mainly just a few letters and handwritten notes here and there, nothing too serious. I camped at UNC and really showed up a few of their commits but they had their guys picked out so I was fighting an uphill battle.

If I play college ball I'm probably headed the 1-AA route, Furman has been recruiting me real hard and so have a few other SoCon schools.

Do they want you to play WR? I remember you saying you kick as well?

But the 1-AA is still legit man, I have a lot of friends that play on that level and they enjoy it.

SoCon is definitely FTW. If you're gonna do the AA route why not play in the SEC of that level? My former HS teammate just finished his career at Furman, #54 Kyle McKinney. I went on an unofficial visit there, and would've played there in a heartbeat had they asked me to. But I guess there was not a need for a guy with Jacob Hester's size but Owen Schmitt's speed, and neither of their strength. I also went on a visit to Western Carolina, they aren't really much of a power in the SoCon but their facilities were nice and it's a very pretty school.

Good luck with the season keep us updated on the recruiting.

        ---------

As for LSU's class, we've been cleaning up. Our latest commit is 4* TE Travis Dickson out of Mississippi. He is Richard Dickson's younger brother, he'll probably stay on offense but could play DE if we needed/wanted him to.

Currently at 21 commits, 14 of which are 4-stars (Rivals). I don't get too big into stars but this class looks solid from top to bottom. We're saving spots for Lache Seastrunk and/or Trovon Reed plus another running back (Storm Johnson, who I previously mentioned on here an LSU guy, is no longer a commit), but other than that we've pretty much satisfied all of our needs.

Well I can kick but I'm not doing it this year because we have a former soccer player handling it, because our coach didn't want me to kill my legs from kicking all game.

Seems like there are quite a few people that keep up with the recruiting process judging by the amount of replies in this thread. Has the possibility of expanding and adding a recruiting subforum to this forum? Do you guys think there'd be enough activity to keep that forum active? I'm asking this because as a new member, I keep up with a lot of recruits and who they are interested in, especially those related to the southeastern teams, however its kind of hard for me to throw in what I know and think without going and reading the ton of replies in this topic because I don't want to repeat what others have said and bring up topics that have been worn out by you guys. In my opinion, it just seems like a single thread is not enough to keep up with recruiting, especially when there's so many replies and interest. Just my opinion.
First of all, welcome to VSN.

As for the whole sub-forum idea, I highly doubt that would work. We aren't getting a lot of buzz in here as it is, and if it wasn't for the recent reshuffling of sections, I probably wouldn't have been able to locate this thread.

Keep all 2010 recruiting news in here, please.

Ware is a flat out stud.. just a great football player, but I have concerns over whether or not he's maxed out his frame.

Just FWIW he was at the UNC advanced camp while I was and they worked him at WR and he was a stud there, just an overall great athlete.

Good to hear. I'm very excited about Ware.

And Kadillak, I read TigerDroppings sometimes but don't post, things get a little too over the top for me over there. I prefer TigerForums, where I post every now and then but both have too many "sky is falling" types who come out of the woodwork after every game.

I also like Justin Hunter a lot. With him, Mike Davis and hopefully Reed and Seastrunk, our offensive class is gonna be loaded with skill guys.

I think he'll end up at Pitt. His favorite target ended up there, so that would be a big reel-in for the Panthers.

As long as we keep Bolden though, I'll wont be as worried. Nice username, BTW.

4-star DE Dominique Easley taking an official visit to Happy Valley this weekend.
