Except, there's people on here claiming McNair's a HoF QB when he wasn't.
And no one's taking a piss on his dead body, just remarking that his career is not what a lot of these other people are making it out to be.
Exactly.
Nobody is gloating about the fact he's dead. Nobody wanted him dead.
Forget HOF, people were throwing around terms like "all time great". He was a pretty good player. Why do people always have to go overboard on legacies when somebody dies young?
Sucks he apparently got caught screwing around with the 20 year old, because he had a pretty clean image. Everyone has skeletons. It's a shame his death will make it all public. I feel bad for his wife, and especially his kids.

He was a great QB, especially of his time. People idolized him and not many could do what he did. Hall of Fame is irrelevant, he was celebrated during his time in the NFL as well and there are not many names that threw for 30,000+ and scored 200+ in career and that's what greats do: separate themselves from the pack. No one is going overboard on his legacy because he dies young, he was a great in the game. Before he passed, many people considered him a great and looked up to him, wanted to play just like him. I was a huge fan of McNair and I really wanted him to win that Super Bowl against St. Louis. That was one of the first Super Bowl I actually remember watching and can relive it. Sean Taylor was a great player before he was killed as well. It's not like we're talking about Nick Adenhart, we're talking about Steve McNair, who was a great player. He's not just any player.
He was an above average player, who generally put up slightly above average numbers. He never won a championship, was constantly injured, never led the league in any of the big categories (yards, TD's, rating, completion percentage)...
There was also a stretch of his career where the Titans has a better record in games started by Billy Volek and Neil O'Donnell. The offense would frequently perform much better when the "warrior" would sit a few out with his various ailments.
I'm trying to shit on the dead, but it's pretty irritating hearing people call him a HOF'er and one of the best ever. No.
I guess I should have clarified. I meant one of the best black QB's but I know how some people get and think i'm being racist or some sh*t. He was also one of the toughest QB's to play. I don't know if he's HOF material and at this point I really don't care right now. I'm more concerned about what happened to his life.

His wife must have been dense or just didn't care that he was off screwing around on her. What guy can get away to a tropical destination with some hoochie mama and not have the wife asking 1,000,000 questions?

Did you just say hoochie mama? LOL I haven't heard that in years
So my cousin sends me this awesome yet inappropriate email about Steve McNair. It's a bunch of bullshit but it did come with a pretty funny pic that I took the pleasure of hosting for you guys:
