For that to be applicable, you'd have to assume that the pin flags used in the golf tournament aren't really pin flags using the design of the American Flag, but that they are the American Flag themselves. I would hope any sane person would be able to see the difference, and not confuse the pin flags with the actual American Flag. If my 6-year old drew a flag with her crayons on a sheet of paper, do we then subject the sheet of paper to the Flag Code???
