      this thread is funny lol

as a Giants fan Romo can make big plays few QBs can.. at the same time time he makes more boneheaded plays than most QBS.

      Eli is better though lol

As far as yardage is concerned, the chargers defense gave up 350 yards per game while the saints defense gave up 340. Overall, considering how the saints defense doesnt stop teams from scoring, which is one of the goals for a defense, Id give the edge to the chargers defensively.
You're too hung up on the numbers kid. The Saints play against better offensive teams than the Chargers do. I mean unless you think it's tougher to keep the Raiders out of the endzone than the Falcons. I'm pretty sure the Chargers only played one offense ranked in the top 22, and it was the Broncos.

On paper, talent wise, personel wise, its not an argument. The chargers defense is better. Im not even going to begin naming names because I shouldnt have to.
Bullshit. The saints defense is every bit as good "personel" wise when the chargers are without Merrian. Their secondary is overrated.

Ben bens team is way better? Football is a team sport or is it not? Big Ben has had a squad since he came into the league. His rookie year the steelers went 15-1. You know damn well they didnt win that many games because of him.
Again, he plays against better competition too.

He managed games yes, but was he elite as in top 5 no. lol trent dilfer has ring. Dilfer>brees?
Did I say anything near that? You make the most horrendous fucking arguments. I said he was more consistent, and he is.

        Big Ben

        2008 17 tds 15 ints 60% completion percentage
        2007 32 tds 11 ints 65%
        2006 18 tds 23 ints 60%
his rookie year 17 tds 11 ints. 295 passing attempts

And all this big ben talk. You act like its the pittsburgh big bens. No Its the pittsburgh steelers..once againt emphasizing team. When has big ben not had a defense that wasnt top 15 in the league? And his running game. Up untill this year big ben always had a running back to take the pressure off of him. Is a running game not a qbs best friend?
And? This past year the running game was off, the offensive line has been terrible for two seasons. Playing the best defenses in the league he still led his team to the superbowl. Not to mention you think Santonio Holmes isn't a top 15 WR, so he had few weapons offensively. Yet still made big plays all year to win games, including the playoffs, and the superbowl.

        Check out drew brees's states
Latest on QB Drew Brees including news, stats, videos, highlights and more on NFL.com

34 tds 17 ints 65% 413 completions 635 attempts. Those numbers are amazing. Numbers that show that the qb is the teams leader on offense. Its his offensive unit.
He has a better offense, considering you think Holmes isn't a top 15 WR. Numbers don't show that a qb is a leader btw. Numbers have shit to do with being a leader. A leader wins you games. Brees loses close games time and time again.

Im not saying that the steelers offense wasnt big bens last year because it was. His o line was horrid. Any other qb would of died behind that line. But brees has carried the offense on his shoulders for the past few years now.
Carried them to what? Good stats against shit defenses? Great. He doesn't win games.

Is not having a defense not having help? Thats how I look at it. In football the defense helps the offense, the offense helps the defense. They go hand and hand. You cant win consistently without the other.
And... the Steelers have two superbowls in 4 years. That offense must be doing something right. It's not the line. It's not the WR core. The running game sucked last year. What was it?

        Your arguments are hilariously ignorant.

Who is Brandon Jacobs to think he has a right to say something about Romo? I want to see what Jacob's QB will do without his security blankets this year.

so since Eli has a Ring is he better than McNabb? and any other QB without one? or maybe let me ask you what exactly was Dan Marino? I mean he's never won a big game... it's the samethings with you people, "HE" can't win a big game... Hell I never remember ever seeing Romo play by himself against 33 people (offense, defense, st) and what happened to the rest of the Cowboys? Is it Romo's fault when a HB picks the wrong hole to run in? is it Romo's fault that you got a WR complaining to everyone forcing you to force dumb ass passes his way although they're winning? Remember when Dallas lost against Washington? Felix Jones didn't touch the ball... The same Felix Jones who was on a touchdown streak and average 10 y-p-carry... In that same game the defense laid down we had injuries in the secondary (all of washington scores came off of passing)...ANd on offense Romo had to force TO the ball to try to keep people happy. Hell last season half if not almost the whole damn O-line was hurt and wasnt in sync with each other (See Giants game).

I'm not going to continue because yall aint got nothing but he aint won a playoff game. When all I say is before Big Ben and Eli won superbowls who was the top 5 QB's?

Yes Eli is better than McNabb not because he has a ring but because McNabb throws the balls at his WR's feet.

After this season I don't expect Eli to be making anyones top 10.

LOL, Eli certainly isn't Mr. Accurate himself.

i love it when romo gets crushed by a player or analyst. the cowboy fans all get together and try to say how good he is and the rest of us just laugh at them being blind stupid gay ass homers. romo is not a top 5 qb in the nfl. he barely makes the top ten. right now, due to playoff wins, Eli > Romo. Tony Homo had the same amount of weapons and the same caliber of team around him as Eli does, it is just that Eli doesnt gag in the clutch. Yes thats right you fucking dallas cunts, i called tony homo a choker. he choke both times he was in a playoff game, he choked during the regular season in Pittsburgh and has and will choke many more times until dallas actually gets a coach that will teach him to play, not be his buddy.

Maybe you havnt saw my previous 4 posts .

I said everytime my top 5 is Manning , Brady , Big Ben , Rivers , Warner . Of course Warner is getting old now so if we are talking top 5 qbs in terms of a franchise I would throw in McNabb ahead of Brees still (I could see an argument for Brees > Mcnabb though)

I would personally have Brees around 6-8 . Back during last season I think i had him at like 10 but I think I may have been a bit harsh with 10
