He's an awful player, terrible throwing accuracy, terrible throwing technique, not got the nerve to be an NFL quarterback either. Despite being in a great place with Peterson commanding much of the defensive attention he failed to at least show enough potential to warrant another shot. Nobody would trade for him.

I wouldn't say Jackson sucks or that he is good, I will say he is just around an average starter or an above average backup. When he started playing more conservatively near the end of the season, he was a lot better QB. I don't know if I'd take Brett Favre over him simply because Favre is a gunslinger and a team with a strong running game and solid D doesn't need an air it out QB, they need someone who won't lose the game.

Say what you want about the guys' ability, I'm glad he's sticking up for himself and wanting to get out of there. What a slap in the face for Minnesota to try and go get Brett Favre - a washed-up has-been who will probably only stick around for a year - when Childress has been saying all along he believes in Tarvaris. I'd want out of there too... good for him.

lol minny. brett is destroying the future of every team he goes to. T jack was actually coming along as a qb towards the end of the year. I actually thought this year would be his year despite not having any good wideouts. Now that he doesnt have any job security, I doubt he will stay in minny for long. They get a qb for 1 year who wont win them a SB, and they lose a potential qb that can give you a solid 4-6 years.

i dont know whats more sad... the vikings thinking favre helps them take the next step to being a contender or T-jack thinking he is a good enough player that some other team would give up more than a hand full of old jock straps and used helmet to get his untalented ass.

Sexy Rexy is better then Jackson. But the reason they went to the Super Bowl that year didn't have much of anything to do with him.

Yeah. Thats true. But at least he got them to the Super Bowl. Grossman didnt play great (Except the first four weeks) but he was a part of taking them to the title. Jackson had a a very good defense, the best running back, a couple decent receivers last season, but he still got benched in favor of Gus.
