Penn State is Schiano's dream job.

If Rutgers wants to keep him upon JoePa's retirement (or passing, whichever comes first), they really ARE gonna have to give him the world.

    I'm still wary of it.

Really, there's only a handful of programs I can possibly see him going to:

      Ohio St.

      Notre Dame

Texas - Even though it looks like Muschamp will replace Mack Brown

Oklahoma - Call me crazy, but I think Stoops days are numbered. I also think if Kirk Ferentz for some reason finally decides that he wants an NFL gig, Stoops is Iowa's man leaving the door open in Norman

      Penn St.
Ohio St. won't hire another guy with no ties to Ohio. Schiano would be in Happy Valley the second JoePa hangs it up.

And Stoops days are numbered? LOL.

Yeah that might have been the dumbest thing I've read on here in awhile.
Why the hell would OU fire Stoops? Oh yeah cause he's been blown out of a couple NC games... too bad OU still got tens of millions of dollars out of those game and as long as he keeps taking them to BCS games he won't be going anywhere. $$ talks in college football these days.

Secondly, Yes - Bob Stoops days should be numbered. He's one of the highest payed coaches with some of the best talent in the nation, yet he has completely choked in the big games the last 4 or 5 seasons.. People & the administration in Norman expect a championships in return for the amount of cash they pay him. If they get to a BCS game or better yet, the title game & loose.. His ass in no doubt on the hot seat.
LOL pretty sure he was talking about Schiano. If you would've read the thread, he says this on page 1, indicating he knows Urban has Ohio roots:

But as much as I said its more likely for him to go to Ohio State, I doubt he leaves Florida any time soon, he's in the heart of the best recruiting state in the nation...
Jeez what is it with these emotional VSNers who keep stupidly calling out sportsbuck, forcing me to defend him yet again.....

It won't happen for PSU, but after JoePa either retires or passes away, I want to see Turner Gill of Buffalo take that job. IMO he's the next big thing in coaching and I think he'd be a great fit in State College. He'd also discpline kids better than JoePa has lately.

Turner Gill to Penn State...MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Your a dumb fucking little shit of a Jayhawk fan, your the one who doesn't even mention Urban Meyer's name in a post where you talk about Greg Schiano, who was who I thought you were talking about.

And dipshit I am the one that first mentioned that info in the thread... dumbass.

Please tell me your kidding. There are a few coaches in America who have a job at their school as long as they want to coach... Stoops is one of them.

You're getting Schiano....who will instill a nice tough-guy vibe, and use PSU's status to his advantage.

If that happens, you'll be "Linebacker U" again.

You're telling me we're not Linebacker U anymore?

Paul Posluszny, 2005 and 2006 Bednarik Award winner and 2005 Butkus Award winner and Dan Connor, 2007 Bednarik Award winner say hi.

Navarro Bowman and Sean Lee will be in the spotlight this year.

                    lol your from Iowa.

And don't act like your the only one who knows about Urban Meyer's background. Great, you posted some shit that I skipped over, but I know where he's from and what he's done.
How did I act like I'm the only one that knows Urban Meyer's background? Seriously, you question my research and don't even bother to read the thread...

Bob Stoops will be on a hot seat if he looses another bowl game, that's my opinion. How many more seasons are they gonna be ok with getting tooled in BCS games? Plus they a bunch of capable assistants waiting in the wings if they feel change is necessary.. Were not talking about Bobby Bowden here.
Right... they are going to fire a coach who has finished no lower than 2nd in his division in his career, has a national title, 6 conference titles (Inlcuding 3 in a row), has made it to a BCS bowl game in 7 of his 10 years, has only two non-ten-win seasons in 10 years, has won 82% of his games, and has finished in the top 10 7 out of those 10 years (And another time he finished at #11).

Oklahoma obviously disagrees with you considering at the end of 2008 they made him the nation's highest paid football coach.

And what happens if they have an average season like in 05 and they go 8-4 or something? I mean their schedule this year is no cake walk.
Very true, I think Oklahoma is going to dissapoint this year because of that schedule and because of all they lost on the oline.

Schiano turned down an interview from ND to stay at RU.

RU bulit him an estate to live in on campus. He says his goal is to turn RU into a perrenial power.

He's paid very well. He isnt going anywhere.

So things are gonna get so bad in Norman that they might have to stop playing full 12 game schedules? LOL at "7-3 when Bradford leaves"
