Punt returning aside, he really has no football ability other than running straight. And he didn't return kickoffs last season either, so really, he's the same thing he was last year. A deep-threat WR with questionable hands and no knowledge of how to get open who also returns punts.

If he didn't return kicks last year, then how will this be any different?
LOL at another horrendous reply by NAHSTE ("Mr. Know-it-All") about football.

I'm not a Hester fan, but he WAS very noteworthy to the game. He was one of the most remarkable return men to play in the NFL when he was doing it. He's one return shy of the NFL record and he accomplished that in what, 2 or 3 seasons returning???

....he's been in the NFL for this many years and at least contributing, but NAHSTE knows more than the Bears and other 31 teams

He is still returning punts, he stopped returning kicks sometime last season. And he only averaged 6.2 yards per punt return last year, so I'd argue he is not really noteworthy at all these days.

Sure, his past achievements as a return man are "noteworthy", but as a player, he's pretty average aside from one elite skill.

You dont weaken one position to mildly improve another.
Great return men are more valuable then avg WRs. Theres only 1 maybe 2 truly elite return men in the game at a time. The field position and plays Hester has the potential to provide effect both sides of the ball.

If they were that concerned they should have just gone out and signed one of the 985729348574958 WRs available this off season.

Hester FT return man and 3WR will get your more big plays than , Hester Primary WR PT return man.
Best reason to have a license.

Im more curious to see how he does this year with a real QB and another year developed (hopefully) at WR.

Otherwise, as said before, this happened mid-season last season, this is not anything we didnt already know.

Hester needs to be used in utility. Bring him in to run a screen or wildcat or w/e...but what do I care? I'm a Packers fan.
