I'm thinking Cutler would throw some of that Neosporin spray on his finger (the stuff you see in the kids commercial) and slug down a Capri Sun if he went out like Orton...
Maybe one of these two because of his condition:
(given, I'm looking at this in a vacuum of one game, versus comparing both their careers where Orton's hasn't had the receivers Cutler has... like ever.)
At least the receivers on the Cowboys can actually, you know, catch the ball at all.
Every time Eli throws a deep ball for Hixon or Smith, it goes right off them. You guys should have blown the Jets out of the fucking water tonight.
Giants WR corps are a big concern. No one's stepping up to be that reliable #1 guy. Those dropped passes were inexcusable. We can't have that shit against Dallas or Philly.
Reese should have traded a pick for Boldin. Hell, I'll take Brandon Mashall right now.
What do you think the Giants will have to part with to get either one of those guys (Boldin or Marshall)?
I'm sure high draft picks would be involved. But Reese has to do something, because this group does not impress me. All you have to do is look at the playoff game against Philly. The Eagle defenders even said the Giants are a different team without the homerun hitter in Burress and it's carried over into this season. Smith & Hixon don't put fear in opposing teams' secondaries. And it's unrealistic to expect the rookies to make a major impact.
