i see the giants are once again going with the "lets not sign anyone at all despite the glaring needs we have" approach to free agency.... this RB situation is a scary thought. whats gonna happen when (not if) bradshaw goes down?
Rumor popped up on another board that the Giants may be talking with Cincinnati about trading for WLB Keith Rivers.
Meanwhile, Ballard underwent microfracture surgery in addition to repairing his ACL...so yeah, he's not coming back at all next year. Hopefully, he recovers and can add to some team by the spring of 2013 though.
Now multiple spots are reporting the Giants will be trading for Rivers and are finalizing talks with the Bengals.
May only cost a late round pick. He's on the final year of his rookie contract and the Cats have soured on him for being injury prone the past few seasons.
An interesting move since I figured Jacquian Williams would get a look at potentially starting as a OLB opposite Boley. Perhaps they really will look to move him inside, and keep Williams outside.
I hope he can stay healthy, which seems to be the consistent problem with the Gmen. Thankfully, the Giants have shown that any and everybody is willing to step up.
