the only thing wrong with the cowboys new stadium is that the cowboys play there. no fans are bigger homers than cowboy fans, they can even justify why the team hasnt won a playoff game since 1996. dammit man i fucking hate dallas.

I do remember a playoff game when the ball literally stuck into the soggy turf at heinz field like a javalin. That actually kinda funny.

The rest of your post is invalid, crybaby bullshit that has no relevence to this topic. This isnt about a competitive advantage, its about an oversized, intrusive, unnessacery TV getting in the way.

It's a fucking tv screen. Why is it so important to you? We get it, your stadium is super awesome, how bout dem Cowboys!!. But the dumb tv is clearly an issue, raise it or get rid of it.
Don't have an issue with moving it at all, actually. Nor do I believe any of the stuff I posted should be changed. Was just using it as an example.

But ol' Jethro does have an issue with moving it. And at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

There's nothing the league can do about it. If the fact that a punter can hit the scoreboard if he's aiming for it makes them so butthurt, they're just gonna have to make a new rule about that kind of thing.

I already know our punter's never gonna hit it.

It wasn't a playoff game, it was on Monday Night Football against the Dolphins.

If it needs to be moved it should. No team should be able to obstruct something on field by stadium design. Its like having a jacuzzi in the endzone and asking guys to play around it.

I do have a problem with the NFL not knowing how much it should be moved , them signing off on it to begin with , and not speaking about a contingency plan while it was being built/setup. That and people trying to blame Jerry for this ??

If announcers , players , and fans at home were wondering about the height before the stadium was opened how did the NFL not anticipate this ?

I will say again it was aimed at. But frankly what punter in there right mind wouldnt want to aim there kick at that fuckin thing ? If I was an opposing punter Id dream of hitting it so hard it knocks out reception.

And for the record, the reason he won't raise the board is because if it's any higher, certain tiers of the stadium would not be able to see it adequately. He paid good money for it, and he wants the most bang for his buck. Good for him. The stadium is magnificent and all, but the highlight for ol' JJ was this scoreboard and there's no way in hell the NFL is gonna make him move or remove it. And honestly, I'd love to see Goodell try. This isn't Q-Bert Jones or Michael Vick he'd be dealing with.

Go for it, Mr. Goodell. Make Dallas raise the video-board…

…and while you’re at it, please make all stadiums that use natural grass meet a minimum quality standard so that teams like the Bears can no longer enjoy an unfair advantage by playing on that loose green mud they call grass, that they are use to via practicing on it, but openness are not and slip and slide all over it…

…and while you’re at it, please require teams that play on baseball fields to sod the dirt portions so that an unfair advantage is no longer enjoyed by the home teams, and when they sod, please have inspectors ensure that the newly planted grass meets the minimum grass-quality standards in place (see above)…

…and while you’re at it, please take officials off the field as they get in the way of games. After all with today’s video technology they can easily do their jobs from the booth. Hey, if video technology is the clear determinant for instant replay, then why not every play…?

…and finally, while you’re at it, please be sure that all of the problems mentioned above get addressed and resolved first, because after all, they have ALL been stadium-related problems that affect game outcomes in favor of the home team; and if we wish to be fair as a league about not having variable stadium conditions provide unfair advantages for home teams, then let’s be fair and address these problems on a first-come-first-serve basis…

So in closing, Mr. Goodell, please DO make Dallas raise the video-board in Cowboys Stadium, but not until all of these other stadium problems around the league have been resolved.

Co-sign. I can understand someone complaining about a bad refereeing decision that costs their team the game or something like that...but Rayman's post was beyond belief. I don't even understand who he's bitching at...your scoreboard is too low, fix it, end of story. Even if the Giants close their end zone doors, your scoreboard will still be too fucking low.

It's called being facetious. I'd have thought you of all people would understand that. I honestly don't believe any of that stuff will, or should be changed.

This scoreboard is really not as big a deal as people want to make it out to be. In fact, my position on it is more along the lines of just sticking a middle finger up. But, if that makes me a douchebag, I'll have to apologize for it.

But then again, if the biggest "controversy" surrounding this team this season is a fucking scoreboard, I'm gonna be a happy camper.

But I don't understand how the situation could call for facetiousness. Its like getting a flat tire, and instead of changing the tire, you verbally berate your car and continue driving.
