Mike Martz finally hired...

Thats the other thing with Martz. He never inherited a highly regarded QB. Did you even know who these guys were...
1998, he helped develop Trent Green as Washington QB coach. Green was an 8th round draft pick who was a no name backup for 6 or 7 years previous.
1999, Kurt Warner. You all know the deal.
2002, Marc Bulger. Cut by 2 teams, third string in 2001 & 2002.
...until Martz got a hold of them?
Lions had Jon Kitna, and 49ers had the immortal JT O'Sullivan (who he brought with him from Detroit) & Shaun Hill.
With that track record of turning shit into gold, you mean to tell me nobody will even hire this guy as a QB coach?
maybe he is an even bigger douche bag than you and just shit all over people.

The "talent" argument goes out the window with what he did in Detroit and SF.
In SF, he worked a minor miracle. The 2007 offense was one of the worst in recent memory, scoring 219 points and finishing dead last in almost every category, averaging 237 yards per game.
The 2008 unit, with largely the same players (aside from an aging Isaac Bruce) scored 339points and averaged 311 yards per game.
He constructed a similar turnaround in Detroit, again, without the '99 Rams HOF level talent.
The "talent" argument holds no merit. This isn't Barry Switzer. Every opportunity he has gotten, he's gotten the job done--quickly.Comment
