              SF/PF: Brandan Wright

              Warriors Get:

              PG: Daniel Gibson
              SG: Delonte West
              PF: J.J. Hickson

              The positives are:
              • West and Gibson are shooters who can run, which works well in the Warriors' system.
              • Stephen Jackson gives the Cavs a more ideal two who can defend more positions effectively.
              • Warriors unload Brandan Wright, who has thus far been useless to them.

              The negatives are:
              • Cavs chemistry might get fucked.
              • Warriors overload even more in the backcourt.
              • Cavs have no backup at point guard.
I understand that the cavs would obviously do that, but why would the warriors add 2 more guards while trading brandon wright (no matter how much theyve misused him, hes still a very good prospect) for a less intriguing PF prospect (JJ Hickson).

i kno theyre a team full of guards now, add 2 more and it would be downright razy, especially since CJ Watson will be back with GS

to say its guaranteed really is funny....nothing is guaranteed in the NBA

ask the cavs, remeber when everyone was saying the magic wouldbe lucky to win one game vs them???? they were supposed to run through the east with no problem....they didnt

San Antonio would still have to go through a very tough western conference which would most likely end up in a WCF with the lakers....you think if you add Stephen Jackson to the spurs they are guaranteed to beat thedefending champs???? give me a break

not to mention even if they were to make it past LA then they would have a tough Finals matchup vs whoever takes the east (presumably Boston, Orlando, or The Lebrons)

so YES, there is no guarantee the spurs would be guaranteed a title, even if they did add jackson.

Yes, if the Spurs somehow got Jackson, they'd have an incredibly good small lineup (Parker Ginobili, Jefferson, Jackson, Duncan) but that lineup wouldn't get much play time just because small lineups don't usually get that much run. Yes, they'd be deep at the G/F spot, so if Ginobili or Jefferson went down they wouldn't really feel the effects of it very much.

But to say that they would be guaranteed a championship is dumb.

Take into account that the Lakers are the defending champions, and essentially upgraded/stayed the same (remains to be seen.. Probably an upgrade) and all three of the major teams in the East improved. ALSO, you need to take into account that Duncan is older, and is not getting better, and Ginobili is getting up there, and has a history of injuries. Come on man, get out of here with this guaranteed championship shit. You sound like a Laker fan.
The Celtics are winning the championship, right?

The difference is that Marco never made it out of the doghouse, period. Steph lives on top of the doghouse. Huge difference between trading an established player over a guy Nellie prob deemed as wasted potential (which is horseshit).

That being said I wont put anything past Nellie..

Jackson to Clippers for Thornton! We have a 7 mil trade exception. Plus Jackson would love to be reunited with his best bud Baron Davis.

                                1984 Record: 44-38 (9th in west)
                                1985 Record: 42-40 (7th in west; 1st round exit)
1986 Record: 51-31 (3rd in west; swept in finals)

The Grizzlies theme this season should be : "This Season, We're Doing It For The Lulz"
