    Zach Thomas to retire

Very underrated player for a long time.

Though the specific term for characterizing his departure has yet to be determined, linebacker Zach Thomas is expected to end his NFL career this week.

I don't think he was too underrated.

He was always in talk when talking about the best Linebackers, and Madden always gave him a High 90's rating.

He's one of my favorite players of all-time. Small guy that made up for it with intelligence and heart.

Great player, and will be missed by me. 5 years from now he'll be in Canton.

Wow, I liked Thomas a lot. Unfortuantly he should have retired before last year.

lol at citing Madden to prove a guy was over/underrated.

Maybe underrated was the wrong term.. under appreciated perhaps? Aside from Miami fans anyway.

Good to see he retired before becoming a backup. Props to Thomas for being able to marry Jason Taylor's sister without getting his ass kicked.

                  I agree.

Unfortunately though, I think he is going to get the eternal shaft as far as reaching Canton, even though he should probably be there at some time.

                    FAIL.

Jason Taylor married Zach's sister, Katina.
