Well we don't want to be the one team left out when the other 31 teams run it in the regular season to no success.

yes, usually to cover up some weakness in the running game of that team. either the line isnt beefy enough to do a successful run game. So, they may resort to this speed-option-run blocking or something. The only true wildcat will be run in Philadelphia. defenses should just assume run otherwise.

Ever seen Miami play? They disagree with you.

I was at the game and that is what I shouted out when it happened. Why risk losing $12M on a surgically repaired shoulder with one meaningless play in the pre-season?

I would've been okay with it had he gone high, diving at someone's knees when your trying to block is a bitch move.

That was a bitch move, plain and simple.

Nice to see people still giving passes for Brett Favre.

oh yeah, tally me as one for the "100% bitch move" column. I get the feeling that defensive players aren't going to go lightly on Favre during the regular season if they see him out wide. Payback's a biotch.

That would mean that defenders have been going easy on him for the past 18 years? :confused2:

for the most part, QBs aren't really messed with so far on Wildcat plays. The DB generally just shadows them. However, I think if Favre lines up out wide he better keep his head on a swivel now. He's fair game from the time the ball is snapped, with no rules protecting him. I wouldn't be surprised to see defensive players bee-line toward him just like they do to QBs on an interception return.

you can disagree all you want. The old school idea was executed to cover up a weakness. last year it was a bit of a suprise. This year it wont be. And it doesnt matter unless your running back or WR can throw. otherwise you just attack the wildcat so called QB. its a gimmick and unless you have all other things working ie the rest of your game plan. the wild cat doesnt matter. teams that use the wild cat alot or rely on it will not dominate in the playoffs. the only exception may be the Eagles who have a true QB who can run.

Bad block, but not a bitch move. A bitch move is this:

Favre made a bad block, but hardly a real bitch move where he was looking to injure someone.

who fucking cares, if it was any other QB no one would be bitching
"From the time he hits the court, he plays at a competitive level that you rarely see," Popovich says. "He does the exact same things that Kobe (Bryant) does, that Michael Jordan did.
