This could not be more true. The media has turned on Favre and can't focus on the fact that he had a really solid game...on the road...in a dome to top it off. It looked more like he was trying to protect his surgically repaired shoulder than to end the guys career.

Doubt Brett tried to injure someone on purpose.

It was very poor judgment. it's a legal block if it's coming from the front. Brett's done this many times on reverses, etc. Illegal when coming from behind (side). Very bad judgment on his part, not a bitch move.

Brett didn't have an excellent game. He had a good game and did what Childress wanted him to do (for the most part), manage the game, make safe passes, and hand the ball off.

I'd still be a little concerned with his throwing off the back foot while falling backwards, up for grabs, punt of a duck that he threw that should have been intercepted. Another very bad decision (poor judgment) from Brett. He doesn't have the arm strength to pull that stuff off anymore. Childress should make a rule. Call it the Brett Favre rule. Falling Backwards....DON"T THROW THE BALL. Stepping into the throw....go ahead.

Pretty much. If we're going to allow him to be a media addicted attention whore who fakes injuries so he can have built-in excuses for both good and bad performances then I feel we have a right bitch and moan about him.

Just because I am predicting that a 10-6 playoff team (with major QB upgrade) will win at home over a 6-10 team that left a lot of people disappointed last year doesn't mean I am giving up as a Packers fan. More so just being pragmatic about the whole thing. The Packers will probably win at home later in the season if that makes you feel better :D

Why are the Vikings putting Brett Favre in that position to begin with? This whole "wildcat" thing is overrated when your franchise (though in this instance not Favre) is being forced to make blocks.

I cut your post a little bit short but I find this to be the most truthful part of it all.

Favre threw a stupid, illegal block and nearly ended a defenders season. But plenty of people like to give him a pass for whatever reason, and that is a problem. Doesn't matter what position you play, even just fans know you can't do that.

He deserves a fine. If OchoCinco gets fined for wearing a black chinstrap, then Favre can get fined for nearly removing a mans legs on an illegal block.

I dont want any more reason to be mad at Favre right now, this isn't helping much.
