Actually, I figured it out. Childress and the Vikings realized they fucked up, so they are trying to get Favre injured before the season starts.
Brett Favre with Crackback Block

This could not be more true. The media has turned on Favre and can't focus on the fact that he had a really solid game...on the road...in a dome to top it off. It looked more like he was trying to protect his surgically repaired shoulder than to end the guys career.
I can't believe you guys are talking about cheap shots and haven't mentioned Warren Sapp's blind side hit on Chad Clifton 20 yards away from the play that broke Clifton's pelvis and almost ended his career.

I agree with whoever said Favre better watch his back... I'd knock him the fuck out the next play if he did that to one of my teammates.Comment

Doubt Brett tried to injure someone on purpose.
It was very poor judgment. it's a legal block if it's coming from the front. Brett's done this many times on reverses, etc. Illegal when coming from behind (side). Very bad judgment on his part, not a bitch move.
Agree he needs to watch his back in the regular season. You start doing stuff like that, you become fair game for the D.
What was with the pansy personal foul (roughing the passer) when Brett was tackled for a sack? What a horseshit call that was.
Brett didn't have an excellent game. He had a good game and did what Childress wanted him to do (for the most part), manage the game, make safe passes, and hand the ball off.
I'd still be a little concerned with his throwing off the back foot while falling backwards, up for grabs, punt of a duck that he threw that should have been intercepted. Another very bad decision (poor judgment) from Brett. He doesn't have the arm strength to pull that stuff off anymore. Childress should make a rule. Call it the Brett Favre rule. Falling Backwards....DON"T THROW THE BALL. Stepping into the throw....go ahead.Comment

Cleveland
Detroit
San Francisco
St. Louis
in four of the first 5 weeks.
Don't act like 4-1 or 5-0 is going to be a big deal. The Vikes would've beat those guys with or without Favre.Comment

I think his point is that it doesn't matter who the opponents are, people are going to find ways to bitch and nitpick about it...and in a way...you actually just further proved his point.Comment

I won't discount that the Vikes have a good team (that's for you dope), and that GB could lose to them in Minny (another one for ya dope), but to Predict it to happen? You just got your GB fan card taken away!!!!!!!Comment

I use to love Brett Favre. I'm from Chicago and I use to respect the hell out of Brett Favre, but I'm sorry... enough is enough. You've held up three organizations, skipped training camps, alienated teammates, etc. The dude is a piece of trash, attention addicted, country fuck.Comment

So you're predicting a Packer loss in week 4? Not much of a Packer fan are you? Packers schedule is a little harder than the Vikes during those first 3 weeks (Bears, St L.) so I could see Minny leading the division......But to predict a Vikings win over GB? As a GB fan, that's inexcusable.

Favre threw a stupid, illegal block and nearly ended a defenders season. But plenty of people like to give him a pass for whatever reason, and that is a problem. Doesn't matter what position you play, even just fans know you can't do that.
I dont want any more reason to be mad at Favre right now, this isn't helping much.Comment
